Some things I’m lovin’

I’m linking up with Katie over at katiedidwhat.com.  She has this Saturday series of some things she’s lovin’.  Well there will be no outfit for today, just what I am enjoying at the moment.  Today was a very busy day so here goes for some things I’m lovin’.

1.  My dogs-These little ones just keep me smiling.  I actually took this picture today because I got up and both of them were looking at me and yes, Lilly was actually sprawled out like that!  How could you not love those little faces hehe.

2.  Manicure Tools-Mommy actually gave me this yesterday.  It’s a manicure kit that she used at my age and it’s from Poland.  She doesn’t do her nails ever so she figured she could give it to me.  I can’t wait to use it!

3.  Song-Somewhere over the Rainbow-Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.  This song is just amazing in every aspect.  This has been my favorite of all time for a very long time.  Hey, I even love the original (you know, from a movie called The Wizard of Oz).  This version is so calming and I listen to it in every mood.  If I’m sad I listen to lift my spirits.  If I’m mad it reminds me of the better things.  When I’m already in a good mood I just listen to it, well, just because.  (p.s. the above picture isn’t mine, I got it from this website.)

4.  Living in the middle of nowhere-Sometimes I really truly love living in the middle of nowhere.  There might not be much to do, but I get to see beautiful scenery on a daily basis.  I get to see mountains, farms, and beautiful skies.  I’m not going to lie, I’d prefer living in the middle of nowhere over a city.  Cities actually scare me haha.  Believe it or not, I even got lost in NYC (supposedly the best mapped out city because it’s a grid) with a GPS.  How does that even happen?!  Anyway, I want to share some pictures I took today with my phone.  I have better pictures but need to upload them first.  I went to a sunflower farm by my house and you can pick your own sunflowers.  Here are some awesome pictures from today.

That last picture is of the sunflowers I brought home haha.  The one is huge!  It’s bigger than my head.  Also, it was insane how big these things were.  The whole experience of walking through a jungle of sunflowers was just surreal.  It was absolutely breath taking.
Anyway, I hope you liked this link up with Katie.

I know! They were so tall and beautiful and some of them were leaning over and they looked like shower heads haha, only sunflowers.

That's a nice manicure set! You can tell it's so well-made, probably because it was made long ago! And the sunflowers are beautiful, too!

Yes, it was from many years ago haha. Probably about 25 years ago, if not more. The sunflowers were my favorite part of yesterday 🙂

I definitely love country life, too. It's nice to have that feeling of being able to BREATHE fresh air!!! And those sunflowers are gorgeous. Love them. And, hi, your dogs are freaking adorable. I'm in love.

I live in the city and last week I spent some time with my parents at the lake and it was SO refreshing! It made me want to move to the middle of nowhere!

I don't mind visiting the city if I go with someone. The city makes me nervous haha. I envy you and being able to live in the city!
