A Fashion, Lifestyle, Mom, and Anti Scam Blog

Mother Nature, you’re confused.

It has been absolutely beautiful this week.  Even though I love October and the fall season, I do enjoy my heat.  Today it’s supposed to be a high of 85 degrees.  That’s absurd here in NJ this time of year, especially in the mountains.  Two years ago we actually got snowed in on Halloween, that was a record but still it’s been pretty cold here in NJ.  That’s why I think Mother Nature is confused.  It was so cold last week and this week it’s nice and warm again.  I always feel weird when I start wearing fall clothes and change back into spring/summer clothes.  Thanks to the weather change I was able to wear a dress without leggings or tights!  Don’t get me wrong I love leggings and tights, but having bare legs one last time is pretty awesome too!

Dress:  Ralph Lauren {here}
Boots:  Cavenders {here}
Clutch:  Marshalls
I just wanted to mention a new website that I stumbled across (and will be featured in).  It’s called Show your Label.  They offer a list of different designers and you can learn about the designers or you can shop which is always a plus!  The designers that they have hand picked have also been featured in Vogue.  Along with showing designers they also want to branch out and start featuring bloggers, so go check them out!
So if you guys read my post yesterday about starting to live healthier I wanted to share that I have one day down!  I will say I was very tempted yesterday because my mom made homemade pierogi.  Ok, well I had a few but not as many as I normally do and I didn’t put cheese on top.  That’s probably where my taste buds are not 100% Polish.  I don’t think I know anyone else who puts cheese on their pierogi.  Oh and by the way, yes I’m spelling it correctly.  Pierogi in Polish is already plurarl, pierog would be the singular version.  I always correct my non-Polish speaking friends of the difference.
With all of that being said, I decided (with the help of my friend) that I am going to start a food journal.  I’m going to write down each day what I ate and maybe I’ll even try to put all the content in it as well.  It will also help because let’s say I might eat some carbs because my birthday is coming up, I’ll know exactly what I ate and what I have to do to make up for it.  I mean I can’t really say no when someone is going to take me out to dinner for my birthday or make me a cake.  Also, it’s an excuse to get this pretty Wizard of Oz journal I saw at Barnes & Noble.  Don’t worry I’ll show you guys a picture once I purchase it.  I might even buy some rhinestones to spice it up a bit on the ruby red slippers.  I also worked out yesterday, very proud of myself.

I also wanted to talk about Hart of Dixie.  I love this show.  I just realized that the second season is on Netflix!  Yea, I’d say that’s pretty awesome.  I started watching it yesterday with mommy.  She’s rootin’ for Mr. George Tucker, however I am rootin’ for Wade.  My mom and I obviously have very different tastes in men.  I love anything that has to do with the south or anything country.  It’s probably why my favorite shows are Heartland, McLeod’s Daughters (which is no longer on air), and Hart of Dixie.  Pretty Little Liars is also a favorite but that show is in it’s own category.  If you’re like me and like to collect movies/seasons I’ve found both Season 1 and 2 on Amazon for you.
So, if you’re interested there are the links!
I also found some pretty awesome pictures on Google of “Mother Nature.”  I wanted to share them with all of you.

    That is one divine denim dress. I love those boots (yes- from Texas' own Cavenders) and also your beautifully-styled hair. Awesomeness!

      Thanks so much! I get all of my cowgirl boots from Cavenders. I absolutely love them. I got my first pair from Cavenders in a small town of Temple, TX. I will never forget my experience of buying that pair. The smell of the boots and the adorable little baby boots! Oh how I miss Texas, it really is an amazing state.

      I don't have TV so I only have Netflix. Once I catch up I'll have to find the episodes online if they have them. I love girly shows too!
