As some of you know I have recently become obsessed with Polyvore.  There is a group that I joined and one of their contests had to do with music.  Imagine yourself stranded on a deserted island.  You have your iPod (or whatever you use to listen to music), what would you be listening to and how would it influence your outfit?  Well, I chose 3 different types of music that are my favorite.
First of all I do have a little punk rocker side, that’s why I chose Memphis May Fire.  I based it off of the one song which has lyrics that speak to me, “I can’t say, the past will never get in the way. Just remember all things come and go, but they don’t mean a thing. It’s not about what you have now, it’s what you have in store. Let go.”  I based my outfit off of what I used to wear with this scene along with what I would wear nowadays.  My first pair of Chuck Taylor’s were in high school and they were pink high tops, hence the newer version in the first outfit.

Since going to Texas I have channeled my inner country girl.  Luke Bryan is one of the biggest country stars (in my eyes) as of the past few years.  I love his voice and the fact that he is such a great entertainer.  My typical go to outfit for that scene are my cowgirl boots a sundress and some accessories most of the time those accessories are earthy stones like turquoise.  I bought my first pair of cowgirl boots in Texas and they, along with Lilly are my souvenirs.  They are the best souvenirs I could have brought back home with me.

The last outfit is my all time favorite song.  I loved the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow in The Wizard of Oz and I absolutely love this version as well.  May you rest in peace Izzy, your song is so powerful.  I actually told everyone who knows me that whenever there will be a big event such as an accomplishment or my wedding (whenever that happens) this song will play.  I chose to pair this with beach attire.  Of course if I was on an island I would love to have an adorable bathing suit with some sandals that wouldn’t slip off my feet just in case I needed to run from lions and tigers and bears, oh my!  See what I did there?  Then the elephant necklace would be for good luck for someone to come rescue me!
