Target Challenge Outfit 1: Fancy Shmancy

I decided to start a Target Challenge.  I went shopping at Target a few weeks ago and decided to give bloggers a challenge to buy an outfit from Target and the winner gets a prize.  Read all the details here if you’d like to participate, it’s not too late!  Since I gave this challenge I decided I’d participate as well.  Today I will be posting my first outfit which I’m calling fancy shmancy.  I like to say this phrase a lot, I’m not sure why but I do.

I’m a firm believer in shoes and bags being an investment, hence
why these boots are Cole Haan.  I think
that if you can buy clothing for inexpensive you have enough to splurge on a
bag or shoes, in this case it was a pair of boots.

Top:  Mossimo {Target} $22.99
Skirt:  Xhilaration {Target} $22.99
Boots:  Cole Haan {Marshalls}
Wallet/Clutch:  Target 14.99
Necklaces:  Handmade {Made in Poland}

This outfit is one of my favorites that I bought from
Target.  It’s so girly and playful even
though it’s black, it might be the flower detail on the skirt that makes it
girly.  I love a good statement piece so
the two necklaces that I have on are handmade (wooden beads) from Poland.  My Grandma sent them over as a gift, boy does
that woman have good taste.  The top is
great with the detail in the back.  I
love lace and detail.  Another add on to
how awesome this outfit is, is the fact that the top is a sweater, so it’ll
keep you warmer than a blouse.  With the
winter months coming up I am always looking for something that will keep me
warm but is cute at the same time.

Going back to what I said about statement pieces whether it
be a necklace, earrings, bracelets, or whatever else, is a trend that I hope is
here to stay.  I love the simple look
that can go from day to night just by adding a statement piece.  I love love love accessories, so I’m rootin’
for this trend!

There you have it, first outfit of my Target challenge.  Stay tuned for the rest!
