Thigh-Highs in the office

Thigh-Highs in the office

Thigh-Highs in the office by mejmoda featuring a chanel necklace
Skater dress, $39 / Mango red jacket, $64 / Casadei over the knee boots, $555 / Madewell leather purse / Chanel necklace / Suzanne Kalan topaz jewelry, $1,590 / Kamali Kulture black square glasses

I was on Polyvore the other night and entered in a few
contests but this one was by far my favorite and it’s actually one of my
favorite outfits that I put together.
The challenge is to pair thigh high boots with office attire.  This is a great challenge because thigh high
boots are definitely a hot item for the colder months and thinking of a way to
make this acceptable for the office is extremely hard, and you have to get your
creative juices flowing.
I chose to go with a suede boot because there’s something
about a suede boot that makes it so chic.
I also feel like it’s a little more mysterious.  When you think of a leather boot you automatically
think sexy and I know I tend to feel sexier in a pair.  With suede boots it’s almost like a
mystery.  It’s chic and beautiful but it
can make you feel pretty, girly, sexy, polished, classy, and many more
things.  Most of the boots in my closet
are suede boots, so maybe I just have a biased opinion.
The dress I love because it reminds me of a bag my Grandma
used to have so anything “Grandma chic” is a plus in my book.  I wanted to add a pop of color so the boots
and dress didn’t blend in too much.  I
chose red because it’s bright but a classic color and can be paired with a lot
of things.  Versatile pieces are a must
have in my closet.  The bag looks very
vintage and I love the color combination.
Then of course pearls are always a timeless classic for any outfit.

Thanks to this challenge I actually wore my thigh high boots
to the office today, and of course they are the same color as these and are
suede.  Only difference is they have a
wedge.  I loved this contest and wish me
luck on winning there are some awesome looks that are entered in that contest!

What a fabulous outfit! I love the how the dress is a floral, which we'd normally wear in spring/summer, but the colors are so fall, plus the jacket really warms it up. I also love those boots!
