A Fashion, Lifestyle, Mom, and Anti Scam Blog

Why hello Monday

Another lovely Monday has rolled around.  This will be the last Monday of this
year.  Can you believe it?  It’s already almost 2014.  This is the time of year when everyone
decides to make their New Year’s resolution and talks about how they are going to
change their life for the better, or they just simply reflect on the past
year.  This year I will not have a
resolution, nor have I had one for the past 2 years.  Why not?
Is what most people have been asking me.
My response is simple.  If I really
wanted to change something in my life I would not rely on a superstition for
the new year, I would do it right now, right this minute, or second.  I’m not saying that it’s pointless to have a
resolution because let’s be honest some people do actually stick to their
resolutions.  I’m just saying that for me
resolutions don’t work.  I’ve done the
whole “I’m going to go to the gym more,” and I didn’t.  I either didn’t go at all or I did and then
stopped going.  This year if I go to the
gym it’s only to work off the weight I gained during the holidays because I
have gained some “hibernation” weight as I like to call it.  Like I said, I am not saying having a
resolution is bad, it’s just not for me.
Instead of thinking of a resolution I’d rather look at the
past year.  What were my successes, what
were my failures, what did I change, what did life have in store for me, how
many times did I fall and get back up?  The
beginning of 2013 started with the loss of my friend.  I was upset but I decided that in his memory
I would change my life, and well I did.
You always have to take the good with the bad is what I have come to
terms with.  Life is NOT perfect, if it
were perfect it would be boring.  Life
will throw curveballs at you, it’s just how you react to them that will shape
you into the person you are supposed to be.
I’m very proud of what I’ve done and how I’ve changed over the past
year.
With all of that being said, let’s move on to my normal
outfit post.

Lately I’ve been really into DIY projects.  Below is a sneak peek of my upcoming DIY
Mason Jar project.  I’ve been obsessed
with Mason Jars lately.  Stay tuned to
find out what I’m doing with each of them, no they are not Christmas related
either!
