What I wore for Chinese New Year

Ok, I know it’s a little delayed but I have been so bad with
all of my blogging lately.  We’ve gotten hit with a snowstorm yet again so
I had to stay at a friend’s house instead of going home after work.  We
went to the gym and oh my goodness it was amazing.  I’m not super sore but
I feel it a little bit.  We did weight lifting, squats, and I ran 2.41
miles.  Nothing like going to the gym to warm up and lose some of this
winter weight.  I’m probably not going to get a membership or anything
because I don’t have the dedication or time to go to the gym along with
everything else I do so I’ll just go every once in a while with all of my free
passes from friends.  I know, I’m horrible and won’t lose anything doing
that but I’m really indecisive so that won’t help.

Anyway, what this post is mainly about is what I wore for
the Chinese New Year last week.  I was told by my coworkers/friends (they
celebrate this holiday) that you are to wear red and something new even if it
is a pair of socks.  So I did and here is my outfit.

Poncho:  Ralph Lauren {here}
Boots:  Nine West {old}

I really hope this winter weather calms it down a notch
because we’ve gotten hit so bad this winter (it’s the worst winter in quite
some time).  Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

    This winter weather has been so terrible! I couldn't make it to the office today because of this ice storm! Great poncho, the color is perfect for the lunar new year 🙂

    That is a very cute poncho! I grew up wearing something new and red for the first day of CNY. Got a little lazy and skipped it this year, though. 🙁

    oh, a poncho. I love it. Going to the gym for the first time after a while always feels great. Maybe you should just try and make some time for it. You'll feel great!
