I know, I know. What’s up with the title? Keep reading to find out.
I know that last week in my link up I had Alpaca on but this week I wore it a little differently. I wore it with one of my favorite pairs of leggings that are faux leather with a pattern. Of course I wore a hat because I love hats and my new shoes. I haven’t worn them much just because it’s cold outside and I have to break them in.
I don’t really like to talk about negative things because I feel like my job here on earth is to be positive and to spread that vibe to everyone else. Don’t get mad get glad! So with that being said here are a few things I think of when I’m feeling down regardless of what I’m doing or where I am; work, social life, or home.
- Think of the past. I think back on what my old job was or my old life with friends. I always remind myself of the one job I had at a shoe store, I literally had shoes thrown at me because I told a customer my store manager wasn’t there to override the return policy but that she could come back after a certain time. I think of my past friends and how hurt they left me and compare them to the friends I have today. Rafiki once said “the past can hurt but the way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it.”
- Picture your face at its happiest and at its saddest/angriest. Which one is pretty? Yea I thought that smile was prettier than that frown, now stop it woman, pull yourself together.
- Wear some bright colors. I don’t know what it is but I can be wearing all black and I can put on some red lipstick and feel completely different. Or I’ll just wear my favorite color (pink) and my day is complete.
- Fur babies! I think of my two fur babies that I get to come home to later. Woman’s best friend fo sho.
- Buy some flowers. If I’m at work and I’m having a bad day I’ve been going to Trader Joe’s and buying myself those $1.49 daffodils. Totally worth it!
- Lastly, think of those who have it worse than you. You are lucky to be where you are.
Just another little side note, it’s ok to let it all out whether it be yell at a wall (at home preferably so people don’t call the nearest mental institution) or cry. Sobbing fests are encouraged. I have this problem of keeping things bottled up and covering it up with a smile but if I don’t let it out on my own time I will blow a gasket. When I’m mad it’s not pretty. I’m the incredible Hulk’ess.
