On the edge of this pier.

Every once in a while I need to get away from everything and
regroup.  I usually go to the boardwalk by my house and just walk and take in the fresh air.  I heard this Luke Bryan song a
long time ago and instantly thought of my guardian angels.  As soon as I heard that he sings “sit right
here, on the edge of this pier, watch the sunset disappear” I thought of
them.  You see, I have more than one
guardian angel, I have two.  I got really
lucky.  This year on Memorial Day I am not only remembering the men
and women in uniform and their families but my own two personal heroes.  Without either of you I would not be where I
am today.  I love you and miss you both to
the moon and back but we will meet again one day.
