The other day I was contacted by Man Crates, a site that is seriously one of the most brilliant ideas I’ve heard of in a while (they have the perfect gifts for that man in your life whether it be a significant other or your dad, or just a random guy that you have no idea what to get as a present, just click here). Their mission is to help people like me find the perfect gift for a man. Plus, they each come in a custom made crate, how cool? I was asked to write a post about what would be in my survival kit. Now the guidelines are to be creative and that you don’t need to include matches or emergency blankets so here is what I would bring in my survival kit.
Survival Kit and Man Crates
Coffee-if you know me, you know that there is seriously no life before coffee. When hurricane sandy hit (yes, I will always reference this like an old grandma telling a story because it was THAT bad and “back in my day” ok just kidding, moving on) my mom and I brewed our own coffee outside on the grill with no filter, no coffee machine, and no milk/sugar. Desperate times call for desperate measures so coffee would DEFINITELY be the first one.
Burt’s Bees-I’m a Burt’s Bees Girl and when these lips are chapped or not moisturized I literally want to crawl out of my skin. Also, let’s be honest, if I’m going to be stranded somewhere on an island or in cold weather these lips will go through h e double hockey sticks and back.
Makeup Bag-you know, in case a really good looking guy comes to save me. I’m not about to look like the female version of Tom Hanks in Cast Away.
Cell Phone with service-so I can call someone to come find me.
Water-lots and lots of water! I’m not going to lie, when I leave my house with no water bottle I feel naked.
