This
week it’s all about (that bass, no treble hehe) New Year’s and preparing for
that perfect outfit (above) and to reflect on this past year. When I reflect on 2014 I have no
regrets. This year has been one of the
best years I’ve had. If you look at
today’s Memories of 2014 post you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve had so many great experiences and things
happen this year, these memories range anywhere from starting my own business
to traveling. My blog has grown so much
in this past year and I’m proud of this little baby of mine. There was a week about half a year ago that I
got really down on myself for my blog.
For some reason, my readership plummeted that month. I’m talking it was the worst since I started
this blog. At first I blamed it on the
holidays (even though it was February) and then one of my blogger friends gave
me some tough love. I took that blogger
boot camp she put me through and changed my blog. I think what happened was, I just started to
get bored. I wasn’t thinking of great
outfits, I was kind of in a rut, I even had writer’s block. At that same time I got rejected for two
opportunities with brands. When I
thought of shutting down the blog I cried like a little baby. My mom was there for this whole catastrophe
and dramatic soap opera’esque cry fest and she reminded me why I started this
blog. She kept telling me that I started
this for fun and as a creative outlet, and to forget about my pageviews and the
rejection. I took both my mom’s and my
friend’s advice. Once I remembered why I
started blogging in the first place and got some tough love I started to grow this
little thing. Now, here I am, my SECOND
New Year’s with my blog. Here I am
reflecting on the past year and being proud of myself and my blog. I did so much this year, and about 90% of it
was because of my blog. I learned a lot
about myself as a person as well. I’m a
lot more confident and stronger (mentally) than I was a year ago.

I
can’t wait to see what 2015 brings me and I know next year is going to be even
better than this year!

Great New year's outfit! I have an almost identical polka dot dress! I love it! I always end up pairing it with red, but I love how you paired it with that studded leather jacket. So cute, and edgy! Hope you have a great New Year's!
