Yay for Friday! It has been one long exhausting week. I’ve been extremely tired lately but I think this weather has something to do with it. I really don’t feel like doing anything except sleeping underneath my three covers and snuggling up. Is that bad? It’s been so incredibly cold that it’s sucking the soul out of me. It was so cold that I couldn’t even shift my car because everything was frozen, now that’s actually a first for me but when I drove manual before I never had to leave this early in the morning so the sun had been beating down on the car for a bit. Ok, getting off track. It’s 5 for Friday!
Secret Santa Gift
A few weeks ago I organized a Secret Santa for a few blogger
friends of mine. Everyone got their
gifts (yay) after a few technical difficulties I got mine as well from Mel at Style is Her. I can’t wait to wear it and I will definitely
be posting some outfit posts soon, I promise, I just need to find the time for
all of this madness!

Made it through Monday
For those of you who follow me or for those of you who
actually know me on a personal level, you know that Monday was one of the
hardest days for me. Monday was the two
year anniversary of Dan’s (the person who this blog is dedicated to)
passing. He lost his battle to cancer
and I finally worked up the guts to write him a letter that I shared with
everyone on this blog. You can read that
post here. I’ve talked about him before,
but this year I finally wrote my letter.
I know that I gained a guardian angel through his death, but I still
wish he was here. I made chocolate chip
pancakes Monday night (breakfast for dinner) because the last time I was with
him was at a diner eating chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup, whipped
cream, and fresh strawberries. He ate
most of it because thankfully he had an appetite that day. He was going through treatment so he had his
good and bad days. Thank you for your
lovely and supportive comments, they meant a lot. I shed a few tears reading them just knowing
that the blogger community is so caring.

Images can be found on my Pinterest page under the board “Pretty Hair” some of the others were already on my phone but I think I got from Pinterest as well.
Mermaid hair Obsession
Ok, so, I have a confession. I have this major obsession with mermaid hair lately. I never really liked the blues and greens before, I was more of a pink girl (I’ve had pink hair) but lately I’ve been wanting to buy a wig just for work so I can have mermaid hair outside of work. Is that weird? I heard it damages your hair more than the usual hair colors which I’m not at all surprised, but still, I want! Why can’t mermaid hair be acceptable in the corporate world lol?
Big sale
I know I’ve put this in a 5 for Friday before but once again one of my
blogger friends ordered a bunch of bracelets from me (shop found here). It’s so nice to know that my friends are so
supportive. Plus, I put some blood,
sweat, and tears into those bracelets (haha, just kidding, but it is hard
work). I do have a question for some of
my DIY friends. Thanks to the wire some
of my fingers are getting really gross looking, it’s quite embarrassing
actually. Any suggestions on any “second
skin” type tape or fingerless individual gloves or something? I only need it for two fingers.

Wizard of Oz on Sunday
For those of you who don’t know the release date anniversary
of The Wizard of Oz was on January 1st. The Wizard of Oz (movie) is 76 years
old! I used to watch this movie
religiously, you can ask my mother because she had to rewind it so many times
and watch it with me that she hated the movie for the longest time. I think I watched it about 3 times a
day. It was and still is my favorite
movie. The other day I was asked what is
it about this movie that you like so much.
Honestly, I have no idea. I had
no idea how to answer that question. Why
do I like this movie, um, hm, I didn’t want to sound corny and say it’s magical
but it really is. From the ruby red
slippers to the updated version of going from black and white to color, to
Glinda, the yellowbrick road, emerald city, and then the infamous quote “there’s
no place like home.” I really don’t know
what it is about this movie but I know it word for word and when I was younger
I dressed like Dorothy quite a lot. You
know how obsessed kids are with that movie Frozen? Yea, that was me with The Wizard of Oz. I found out that The Wizard of Oz is hitting
the big screen again! It’s a two day
event and only select theaters (thankfully the theater by me is participating)
will have it showing Sunday and Wednesday.
I AM SO EXCITED! Needless to say
I’m going to see it on Sunday.
