A Fashion, Lifestyle, Mom, and Anti Scam Blog

; (and a Link Up)

Sunglasses:  Born Pretty // Necklace:  Born Pretty // Sweater:  INC // Dress:  Marshalls // Boots:  Old // Purse:  Gucci

You may be wondering why in the heck is a semi colon the title for today’s blog post.  There is a reason for it.  I’m kind of late to the party of the semicolon fad (I guess you can call it that).  You may have seen a lot of semicolon tattoos on social media, no I didn’t get a tattoo, but I decided that this little semicolon helped me a few weeks ago.  If you follow me on Instagram (@jerseygirltexanheart) you saw that I posted a picture of a semicolon with four words under it that said “choose to keep going.”  Now to explain the semicolon I should probably give you the official definition.  A punctuation mark (;) indicating a pause, typically between two main clauses, that is more pronounced than that indicated by a comma.  Pretty much, a semicolon is when an author wasn’t quite done with their sentence and they decided to keep the sentence going.

That’s why I made the title a semicolon.  I’ve decided that after yesterday’s post I really need to start writing more inspirational posts again.  I used to write them a lot, and I really  haven’t.

Moving on to the outfit, so that I can get to my normal posting.  I decided to wear all black, because I’m usually wearing color and I wanted to try something new.  I couldn’t leave all black though, that’s why I added the extra pop with that necklace.  In yesterday’s post and today’s post I’m reviewing more items from Born Pretty.  I really can’t say enough great things about Born Pretty.  I’ve done so many reviews for them and every time there is NO disappointment.  The only thing to remember when buying from Born Pretty is it usually takes a few weeks to deliver, but the wait is totally worth it!

Now make sure to link up below!  Today I also have a cohost!  Make sure to check out Ada!

I had no idea semi-colons were so fly. Love a good fit+flare LBD and yours is styled so nicely. I adore the boots, sunglasses and bright statement necklace.

Thanks so much for having me today. I am spreading the word about the linkup. I hope you like the outfit I chose today, also. Ada. 🙂

What fun glasses. I must really be in the dark, because I know nothing of the semicolon fad. Thanks for enlightening me!

LOVE those sunglasses! And I like how you are wearing all black but the different textures create a contrast within the monochromatic theme. Fantastic!
