Van Gogh Starry Night Nail Art

This is by far the first
design that I’ve been so proud of.  Over
the past few years, my nail art has evolved so much.  I started out with a few double sided nail
art pens and had the worst time keeping polish on my nails and off my
skin.  I’m able to stay within my nail
and my free handing has gotten so much better.
Today I did the most challenging design yet.  Well, it wasn’t really challenging
physically, but mentally I didn’t think I could recreate this.  I think my first attempt wasn’t too shabby
for Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
For one of the most influential (my opinion) painters in history I
couldn’t mess this design up.  I did the
best I could and I’m extremely happy with the result.  The inspiration for this actually came from a picture I came across.  I think it was by an Instagram Nail Art account.  I do believe the account name was ane_li but don’t hold me to that!

Starry Night is an oil on
canvas that was painted in June 1889.
The sad part about this painting is it’s supposed to be his view from
the window of his asylum room.  Currently
it’s been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC since
1941.

I might try this design in
the future one more time to get a more accurate version, but for now I’m
extremely happy with how this came out.
As a self taught nail art enthusiast this was a milestone for me.  As a side note, I think my favorite Doctor Who episode might have been the one about Van Gogh.  Just the emotion in the last bits of the episode were acted out so well.

That is a great inspired design! You did really well, it's not an easy painting to master, never mind painting on nails!
