Earth Tones

Shawl/Scarf:  Ralph Lauren // Pants:  Ralph Lauren // Boots:  Cavenders (Liberty Black)
It’s so weird continuing to see my posts go up with my
blonde hair.  Sorry for that everyone,
but I had so many outfit photos that I didn’t want to go to waste so that’s why
I keep going from brown to blonde on Instagram.
This is one of my favorite outfits because of the 70’s chic hippie
vibe.  The one thing I love about fashion
is the fact that each morning that I wake up I decide who I want to be that
day.  I’m still the same Monica, but I
can dress up into a new character.  One
day I can be dressed like a hippie, the next like a high fashion model, and
then the next like a normal average every day girl.  I feel as though each outfit almost tells a
story.  If you look at some of my
outfits, most of them lately have been similar to this one, but if you look at
all of the extreme outfits I change my style drastically.  I get bored easily so I like to switch it up
a bit every once in a while.
However, one thing I won’t steer away from are ponchos,
shawls, and capes.  Ever since I started
posting here on the blog again back in 2013, I did have a lot of ponchos and
shawls.  They are just so extremely easy
to wear and style.  It’s like wearing a
blanket, but with style.  That means that
not only are you going to look cute but you are going to be comfortable and
warm.  Living on the east coast in the
winter time it can get pretty cold so for me it’s hard to want to dress up nice
with even the thought of being cold.  I
have been living in ponchos lately.
Plus, a great tip or two when you’re cold just hide your hands under the
poncho to warm them up a bit, and if you are trying to wear a jacket, depending
on how big/thick the poncho is you can just quick turn it into a scarf so that
you can be extra warm!
Below are some other ways to wear these trendy pieces!

To be honest I really don’t have a favorite out of the above 3 pictures.  I love all three of them.  The green is perfect for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday next month.  Look 1 I’ve worn to the office a few times, minus the cowgirl hat of course.  The second look made me feel so glamorous because the shawl had fur on the ends, and the third look, I just really loved that shade of green!

Really love these neutrals and those super cute boots add so much flair to the already gorgeous poncho. I love your hair with blonde and like the added poof with it back. I need to try something…
