Subtle for Valentine’s Day and a LINKUP

Lace Top:  CNDirect // Leggings: TK Maxx (from Poland) // Flats:  Kate Spade // Scarf:  Burberry
Hello lovely readers.
So today I’m collaborating with a few bloggers!  I’ve listed everyone above and we are doing a
Valentine’s Day special.  If you saw
yesterday’s post it was EXTREMELY in the spirit of V-day, but for today’s
outfit I wanted to wear something a little more subtle.  This is great for if you’re not as into
dressing up for Valentine’s Day.  I love
the hint of red with this scarf, I mean I’m kind of obsessed with scarves if
you couldn’t tell!  I also chose to wear
black for those of you who really don’t want to celebrate today.
Personally I love black and now that I’ve recently changed
my hair (obviously not in this picture, this was already taken prior to my hair
color change) I love it even more.  My
hair is now brown, so just wait a little bit until I have some outfit pictures
with that, and it might also flip flop between brown and blonde.  Anywho, I love black because it’s slimming
and these pants/leggings are perfect for if you’re going out on a dinner date
because if you get bloated from all of the food, they expand haha!  The lace top is a favorite of mine too, I
think lace adds a certain oomph to any outfit.
I also wanted to take the time to say thank you for all of
you who have been such great supporters lately.
Over the past few weeks I’ve written a lot about some things going on
that I won’t talk about here (some things are meant to be kept private) and so
many of you have commented the absolute sweetest things.  I loved the blogging community regardless but
y’all just made me love it even more.  We
don’t know each other at all but when I read these comments I just connect with
everyone on a personal level.  To see
that so many people say something like “you’ll get through this” or “I know how
you feel” or anything of that nature is just so heartwarming.  I mean I don’t wish any type of issues on
anyone but knowing that y’all have my back and are sending your love just means
the world to me.  So since this post is
all about love because it’s for V-day, I want to spread the love to all of my
blogger friends, and the blogging community.
You will never understand how much I appreciate each and every one of
you and how your comments seriously make my day.  Thank you for sticking by me and thank you
for allowing me to use my blog as an outlet.
All of you are truly amazing!
Now that I got all mushy on you, I’d like to move on to the collaboration I am part of today, the linkup, most clicked, and favorites!

Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood
“For this Valentine’s Look that can take me from work to a date night, I decided to shop my closet. I have always loved pairing Leopard with Red. For this look I mixed prints by adding a subtle pinstriped jacket on top. And since all the clothes are items I have owned for a long time, I did accessorize with new jewelry from Rocksbox.”
Jessica from Bedknobs and Baubles
“When I happened upon this dress at Nordstrom Rack, I knew it was the perfect way to incorporate Valentine’s Day romance into my wardrobe without being too saccharine. (I’m not one to go overboard with pink and red on the big day.) This dress stays true to my style with a whimsical print that’s wearable throughout the year, thanks to the graphic black and white design.”
Monica from Jersey Girl Texas Heart
“Hey Everyone! First and foremost thank you Ada for hosting this collaboration for Valentine’s Day. My look is extremely subtle for those of you who don’t like to wear too much red or anything too festive for Valentine’s Day. This is something that I would definitely wear to dinner because it’s black with a pop of red, and the pants have enough room if I eat too much at dinner with my date!”
Megan from The Fashionista Momma
“When Pinkblush asked me to share their products, I jumped at the chance. I fell in love with this floral dress and had to style it for Valentine’s Day.  I decided to add a little edge with the leather jacket and lace up shoes against the soft floral pattern.”
Emily from Darling, Dearest

“Valentine’s Day is a day where I want to feel girly. Embrace my femininity and get all dolled-up. That’s exactly what this outfit does for me. The daintiness of the lace skirt and the bold red top – even the nude heels! I feel pretty in it. Whether it be drinks with the girls or date night with my boy, I’m ready!”

Each week I feature the most clicked on blogger from the linkup, and my top 3 favorites.  This week I wanted to do something a little different since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  I will add the most clicked blogger, however instead of just listing my favorites, I’m going to list some bloggers who showcased their Valentine’s Day style last week, just to be able to give you some inspiration for a last minute outfit.  Some of these are really subtle, but still have a hint of Valentine’s Day!  So, let’s move on shall we?
Most clicked blogger last week was this lovely lady from Red Tag Chic!
My favorite look from last week had to be this gorgeous look from Happily Howards!
Now moving on to some Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas.

Love your subtle look. I will not be out this year for Valentine's Day so maybe just doing a hint of red will satisfy my craving. Love all the looks from other ladies too!

First of all, thank you for being part of this Collab. It is nice to see the details on that pretty coat and the red scarf is perfect with it. I am also a huge fan of lace on Valentine's Day. Such a sophisticated look. And thank you for featuring one of my outfits from last week too. 🙂

Secondly, I am not sure what you are going through but I send you virtual hugs, positive vibes and love virtually, from across the miles. Happy Valentine's weekend, Monica!
