Chobani Meze Summer Celebrations!

Memorial Day is less than a week away.  Y’all know what that means, lots of food, (especially
junk food) being passed around and lots of fun times with friends and family,
because MDW is the kickoff to summer and BBQ’s.  We all know how easy it is to have a cheat day when there’s tastey BBQ food starring at you along with all of those snacks!  I’m not going to lie, the chips and dip get me every time.  However, what about those of us who are trying to live a healthier
lifestyle and would want a healthy alternative to the well known chips and
dip?  Introducing NEW Chobani Mezé™ Dips.  Chobani Meze Dips are a Greek Yogurt
Dip with 1g fat, 25 calories.  These dips
have 80% less fat and 65% fewer calories than the leading hummus, and less fat
and fewer calories than leading French Onion Dip.  These dips are delicious.  The best part is that even though they are the healthier option, you aren’t sacrificing taste at all!  I tried them with carrots, pretzels, and triscuits.  In my opinion they were better than dip, but I may have a bias opinion since I’m trying this whole healthier lifestyle thing!

In Turkish, the word MEZE (pronounced meh-zay) means taste,
flavor, or snack.  A small plate of savory food, often using strained yogurt as a base, served before or part of a social gathering.  The meze dips are
rooted in the tradition of the Mediterranean table, but inspired by global
flavors, crafted with only natural and non-GMO ingredients, real vegetables,
and thick creamy Greek yogurt.
There are 4 different flavors of these dips (each one
equally delicious) in 10oz sizes
  • Roasted Red Pepper (this is supposed to be a better-for-you take on the #1 hummus flavor)
  • Three Pepper Salsa (this one is my FAVORITE, it’s for anyone looking to spice up their food)
  • Smoked Onion Parmesan (kind of tastes like a healthier French Onion dip, still delicious)
  • Chili Lime Chobani Meze Dip (lightly spiced, a modern take on Ranch with a splash of lime)

With Memorial Day around the corner you should definitely
keep these in the fridge along with some healthy snacks to dip them in.  This way you are fully prepared in case you
have a few extra guests pop in, or if you have friends coming that you know are
trying to eat healthier.  At least this
way, all of your guests will be happy with their snacks.

Ok, so how do y’all make this happen?
Walk into Walmart and go to their Deli section.  I think the only Walmarts that have Deli’s
are the super Walmarts as I like to call them.
I took a picture of where it’s located (pictured below, they were in 2 spots for some reason one spot was more of a display and the other was under the counter where the deli slicer is) for your
convenience.  If you live near me, I went
to the Walmart in Mansfield, NJ.

Next, since this is for Memorial Day you need to make sure
it’s festive!  Anything red, white, and
blue, and all things patriotic!  I of course had to get a little flag and a pinwheel.  Nothing says patriotic and ready for summer like a red white and blue pinwheel.  You can go even more festive if you’d like!

This
tray is great because you can put the Chobani Meze Dips in small little bowls
and then have a decoration next to it, as I explained previously.
Then just add the rest of your snacks to the table and voila you have
the perfect healthier snack on your table.  You can even add a huge plate of vegetables for the Chobani Meze Dips.  Or if you really want to be creative (if you have time) grab some crackers and put some dip on top with some vegetables like that so it almost looks like a little mini sandwich.
