Maxi Skirt and a LINK UP!

Skirt:  Shein // Hat:  Ralph Lauren (gifted, similar here) // Tank:  Ralph Lauren (gifted, similar here and here)
Pink pleated maxi skirts have been EVERYWHERE!  I’ve seen so many fashionistas out there
wearing them (just like the pom pom sandals uggghhh I want those), and even
though I like having my own style, I just had to give in on this maxi
skirt.  First it’s a maxi (I love
anything maxi), it’s pleated, AND it’s pink!
The only thing I will say about the one I got since it’s from Shein, is
it’s runs a little small.  The waist band
is connected by a zipper on the side, not elastic so make sure you order a size
up.  I gained weight, but definitely not
THAT much.
Last week I told you I’d be doing a save or splurge series,
at least attempt to.  Well, I’m going to
be bringing you another addition.  The
skirt I got from Shein cost me $26.99.  Now,
it may not be designer quality, but the quality will do for the amount of times
I would like to wear it.  As opposed to
some of the skirts I saw on fellow bloggers that were $100+ for the same
skirt.  If I’m buying a piece that will
be a classic piece and I know I’ll get a lot of use out of it I don’t mind
paying a little extra, but with a trendy piece like this, I feel as though
$26.99 is just the right amount.
Now, felt hats are still all the rage.  Mine is Ralph Lauren, but I received it as a
gift.  I linked up some less expensive
versions at the bottom of this post.  Another
accessory trend that’s still all the rage are reflective sunglasses.  Who would’ve thought that this trend would’ve
stuck for so long!  Mine are nothing
special.  I stole them from my little
brother who probably got them for a few bucks at a gas station or something of
that nature.  Don’t get me wrong, I love
my designer shades, but I also LOVE getting trendy sunnies for a bargain.  Even if that means paying $3-$5 at a gas
station in the middle of nowhere!  I feel
like when it comes to fashion, if you have the disposable income then by all
means by all of the crazy designer trends, but if you are on a budget, or just
don’t want to spend hundreds on trends, go for the “cheaper” stuff.  You’d be surprised though, some of the “cheaper”
stuff has great quality too.  Not everything,
but some things.  Keep scrolling to see the save vs. splurge pieces!  Hit the arrows on the sides to make the images move.  Some of the prices are amazing!

Here are the most clicked on bloggers from last week!

That skirt is a stunner. You are the third blogger today I have seen the maxi on. I love the edgy way you styled it, pretty lady. The shorter curly bob looks awesome with the dark hair.

Shellie always looks great. Such a nice look with her floral scarf. =)

I adore maxi skirts. And I love pleated ones too. In fact I adore maxi things in generals – skirts, dresses and shirts even though I'm a petite. And great minds think alike as this week I've linked a maxi shirt 3 ways!
Sensible approach – on pieces you know you'll love and keep, I too spend more but for fun trend led items it's silly to pay silly prices if next year they're old hat!
