Banana Republic Collab

The moment y’all have been waiting for is here!  Today I get to FINALLY tell you who I’m
collaborating with for today’s post.  If
you couldn’t tell by the title it’s Banana Republic.  I was super excited when I first found out
and I so badly wanted to tell all of you because this is a huge milestone for
my blog but I had to keep it a secret, I didn’t want to spoil the fun.

The Banana Republic store I went to actually brings back
memories from when I was in high school. 
I remember the first time I stepped foot in that BR and it was after I
had gotten my braces put on (yes, I had braces put on really late in life) and
my mouth was so sore along with me being just plain miserable.  My mom took me to the small shopping center
up the street which has Banana Republic and The Gap in it.  I remember walking into BR and being excited
to shop.  It was my first time inside a
Banana Republic because our local mall only had The Gap.  I fell in love instantly.  I guess being excited to shop never really
leaves your side huh?

Well, my mom and I decided to make a date out of it now that
she doesn’t see me as often as when I lived at home.  It felt like the old high school days
again.  I decided to pick out a fun
outfit since BR was so generous with the spending limit I was able to get a
full outfit (minus the shoes and clutch). 
I’ve been loving the off the shoulder trend lately (if you couldn’t tell
from all of my posts) and the best part about this off the shoulder top is you
can easily wear it on your shoulders as well, so it makes it easy to wear at
work.  I’m almost always looking for a
piece of clothing that works for my full time gig, and my after work self.  The pants were also perfect for this because
I needed a pair of crisp white pants for the summer months ahead.  Of course white is extremely hard to wear
around the doggies but I just have to watch when I wear them.  The best part is that since these pants can
be dressed up, I can get away with wearing them at the office.  The necklace I’ve been wearing nonstop.  It’s so pretty and even though it’s a little
delicate for what I usually wear it makes such a bold statement. 

This outfit is perfect in so many ways, but mostly because
it’s so versatile.  It can be worn for
work or leisure.  It can be dressed up or
down.  It can also be worn with other
pieces depending on your preference.  I
love the print on the top because it’s so summery and nautical.  The texture is also super comfortable,
especially with the hot summer months.

    So beautiful and wow what an amazing opportunity. I have owned a few Banana Republic items (heels and three quarter length sleeve mint shirt) and loved them. However I am sad they don't fit me anymore. Looking lovely Monica!
