One Dress, Two Ways and a LINKUP

Dress:  Ewa Bazaar // Jacket:  Old similar here and here // Shoes:  UGG similar here

This dress is amazing!
I love that it can be worn casually or dressed up.  I personally love wearing it with a jean
jacket and leggings because it’s super comfortable.  I actually have had this jean jacket for
quite some time.  This is why I don’t
like to get rid of clothing (unless I know I really won’t be wearing it again
then it gets donated) because fashion repeats itself.  When I was a little kid and then again in
high school I wore jean jackets all the time.
In high school I also had a white/beige denim jacket.  I have a feeling the 90’s are here to stay
for a second time.  To be completely
honest, the 90’s are my least favorite fashion era (probably because it’s so
close to my actual age) but there are certain things I can deal with.  I can’t wait until I can dress this up
because even though it’s crochet it has this fun fringe on the bottom which
gives it a modern twist on the typical flapper dress.  I would even wear this for evening attire
with a nice shall and some jewelry.  Or
even with some cute tights, that’ll be a fun look for a blog post in the
winter!
I always love snagging up pieces in my closet that are
versatile.  Since most of my clothes are
work clothes, I try and find work clothes that can also work in my personal
life too.  Of course I have clothing that
is strictly meant for outside of work (I live in yoga pants when I’m just
hanging out in the apartment) but I do try to purchase pieces that can be worn
multiple ways.  Well, unless it’s
pink.  I have to have everything and
anything that is pink.  Right now I’m
looking at these pink converse.  I think
I might actually get them for myself as a birthday present!  Insert huge smiley face here.
Well a week from today if you come back to link up with me
you can celebrate my birthday with me through cyber space!  I’ll be 29.
I really don’t have a problem telling people my age.  I mean I’m already forgetting how old I
am.  I have to ask other people how old I
am.  It’s weird for me because when I was
in high school I thought I would have life all figured out and have kids by
now.  As much as I love children, I’m
glad I don’t have any yet.  I’m not
ready.  I feel as though as us women get
older there’s more pressure to have children.
I personally hate hate hate when people tell me I need to have
kids.  When I am ready I will have
kids.  I’m lucky to have the mom I have
because she’s not that typical mom that says when are you giving me grand
kids.  We haven’t even had that
discussion yet because she knows I’m not ready for it yet.  She knows that I have a lot to do before I
settle down and have any babies.  I know
that a lot of people say you’re never ready to have a child, but I’m
reallllllly not ready for that.  Thanks
to my mom for being the best and not pressuring me into such a huge lifelong commitment
haha!
Ok, well moving on to the top 3 bloggers from last week’s
linkup AND the weekly linkup!

I so agree with you about not getting rid of too many clothes, because they always come back in style. In fact, I did a whole post on that last Friday. Love the ways you styled this dress. I have a similar dress myself.
