Valentine’s Day HUGE Blogger Collab, Giveaway, and Linkup

I have SO MANY THINGS going on today!  We have a HUGE blogger collab, giveaway, and the weekly linkup!  The top 3 bloggers will be added to next week’s post because there’s just too much going on this week!  I wanted to give a huge thank you to Dash Posh Boutique for this dress.  It’s definitely not what I’m used to wearing, but after losing so much weight and becoming a coach I’ve been feeling soooooo much better about my body.
Well, let’s get to it.  This is a Valentine’s Day collab so I teamed up with some ladies to talk about their Valentine’s Day traditions or plans.  I personally am not a huge fan of the holiday.  My boyfriend and I celebrate our love for one another every day whether it be him buying me something or just washing the dishes because he knows I’ve had a long day, and just being in each other’s presence and enjoying one another’s company.  I do still dress up in festive attire for the holiday because I do love, love.  I’m not a hater of the holiday, I just personally don’t like to celebrate it.  We usually just do a dinner because it gives me an excuse to dress up and the boyfriend knows that I love dressing up.  This year since Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday we will probably just stay in with our two fur daughters and watch a movie with them.  Ok, now I’m going to give each of these ladies a chance to tell us their stories!  Don’t forget to keep scrolling for the giveaway (you SERIOUSLY DO NOT want to miss this one) and the linkup!

Valentine’s Day has never been a big ordeal for me and my husband.  We’ve never been big on exchanging gifts with each other and the idea of dealing with long waits steer us clear from any sort of restaurants the night of. Since Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year we’ll probably just do dinner at home that evening and do something special as a family the weekend before. For the past 10 years on Valentine’s Day my husband and I have a tradition of staying at home and making a gourmet meal together. This year we’ve decided we want to break with tradition and have a much needed date night. I’m obsessed with this blush off-the-shoulder sweater dress! As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be my go-to for Valentine’s Day! I feel like it looks very dressed up while being extremely comfortable and cozy at the same time {win, win!}. The blush shade makes it a perfect color for Valentine’s Day and the off-the-shoulder style gives off a romantic vibe. I decided to pair it with black OTK boots, but it looked great with black booties too! As for my lip color, I decided to go bold! If you’ve been following me for awhile now, you know how much I love the NYX soft matte lip creams {hands down, my favorite lip product ever} and I am head-over-heels in-love with this fuschia shade!
I can’t wait to replicate this look while I celebrate the holiday of love with my valentine :). We tend to mix up what we do every year – last year we had a romantic lobster dinner at home and this year we plan on going to a murder mystery dinner and then relaxing at home with some wine. I’m just looking forward to spending some quality time with my man and appreciating the love we have for one another :).

Instead of Valentine’s Day, I LOVE celebrating Galentine’s Day on February 13th! It started from the TV show Parks and Rec, and it’s a day to celebrate your love for all of your best friends and all the awesome women in your life. And I think that sounds like a great way to spend your day, whether you get dinner after work or give friends chocolate or just send a group text to all the ladies in your life saying how much you appreciate them. Although I love the idea of celebrating those that you love on Valentine’s Day, we have never made the holiday a big deal in our household.  My husband and I usually keep it simple and don’t exchange gifts.  We used to go out to dinner to celebrate but never on the actual holiday.  Now we find ourselves cooking at home, which makes this sweatshirt dress perfect for the occasion.  Since I am basically wearing an oversized sweatshirt, it is super comfy, yet the lace detailing gives it a special feel.

I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s day since your significant other should do nice things for you and etc. all year round; but since I’m single this year, I’m going to be spending most of the day at work.  After work, I’m meeting up with some of my closest friends (who are single as well), get some dinner and drinks and catch up.

I absolutely lve getting into the holiday spirit when it comes to Valentine’s Day.  Whether I’m going dressy or casual, you can guarantee that my outfit will have reds, pinks, or both included!  Ok, and there’s probably going to be some hearts or flowers worked in too.  This year, my hubby and I are headed out for a Valentine’s date night this weekend, and then we’ll celebrate with our son on VAlentine’s Day.  It’s such a wonderl day to show those you love how thankful you are for them, even your galentines!!!!
