Do you ever look at something while you’re shopping and think oh it’s pretty cool but I could never pull it off, then you say what the heck I’m going to try it on anyway?  Yup, that was what happened with these pants.  When I first saw them even though they aren’t stripes I instantly thought of that Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus performance, you know the one that everyone STILL talks about.  I toned it down with the black blazer and black tank.  I was also really scared that the gingham print would make my legs look wider than they actually are.  I was pleasantly surprised when they didn’t.

If you follow Banana Republic on Instagram, lately their Insta has been filled with gingham.  They had a smaller gingham print as well, but I felt like the bigger print was something that has not been seen yet.  I love this trend for the spring because even though gingham is usually paired with warmer weather, but there’s something different about it when it’s white and black instead of your typical red, or blue.  I definitely think these pants are going to be my go to pants for work.  I’ve been able to wear them and get away with it by wearing the exact same outfit as seen above.  It’s still winter here in NJ but we are almost in April so I’m hoping it warms up soon!  What do y’all think of the bigger gingham print?
