A Fashion, Lifestyle, Mom, and Anti Scam Blog

I could never be on a diet

Top and Pants:  TJ Maxx
“What can you eat on this diet of yours?”  I get this question all of the time.  Or I’ll get the typical “I would never be
able to diet.”  Even though I have
changed my diet, I don’t eat salads every day.
In fact I HATE most salads.  There
are very few (all of them are my mom’s) that I actually enjoy eating and would
think to myself “gosh I wish I could have a salad right now.”  Other than that, I hate them and feel like I’m
eating rabbit food.
I seriously give props to those people who eat salads every
day and are totally content with life.
I actually eat a lot of healthy food, and a lot of food in
general.  However, be prepared when I
show you some of the recipes (listed below) I’ve shared for Shape Up Saturdays because you won’t
believe that there is actually a healthy alternative for some of these foods.  Another problem as well is you can’t look at it as a diet because diets come and go.  You have to look at this as a lifestyle change.
I wanted to also touch base with how I fuel my body.  First and foremost, you need to stay
hydrated.  I go into more detail with all
of my challenge groups as to why, but let’s just say this helps speed up the
metabolism.  The way to figure out how
much water you should drink in a day is taking your weight and dividing it by
two.  The number you’re left with is how
many oz you should have in a day.  Also,
coffee and tea don’t count because they are diuretics.  These actually dehydrate you.  Since I drink coffee I usually drink a cup of
water for every cup of coffee I drink.  I
basically end up with a gallon a day.  On
top of that I eat throughout the day.
Instead of eating 3 big meals I eat 5-6 small meals.  It’s actually better for you to eat every 2-3
hours rather than starving yourself.
Everyone always says, well yea because then when you sit down to eat you
eat more than you should.  Yes, that is
also the case with some people, but there’s another reason why you should eat
every few hours.  When you wait to eat
three big meals in a day you’re actually making your body go into starvation
mode which then in turn ends up being worse.
Your body starts storing fat and slowing down the metabolism because it’s
not sure when it will eat again as opposed to burning fat because your body is
constantly in motion so to speak.  I eat
in specified portions.  The great thing
about the 21 day fix is the program comes with portion control containers and
if it fits in the container you can eat it.
The most important part is eating all of the containers that are
assigned to your weight loss plan.  Also,
don’t ever underestimate the size of these things.  They look small but you get A LOT of food out
of them.  If you’re looking to purchase
some let me know and I can go over details and answer any questions you may
have.  I start a new challenge group on
Monday so I still have room for a few people!
Ok, let’s move on to the most important part of this
post.  The foods that I can eat and their
recipes.  Below will be pictures of
everything I’ve uploaded onto the blog so far, but I have so many more in store
