Not Just a Tshirt-5 reasons why you should own a Tshirt

There are some days where I just want to wear something relaxing as I said in Wednesday’s post. Instead of just going out in leggings, a tshirt, and UGG’s might as well look a little presentable. Pictured here aren’t leggings but they are stretch pants from Banana Republic. I paired it with a tshirt from Zanstyle, a faux leather jacket and some Nike platform sneakers that I scored at Plato’s Closet last year. It was insane what I paid for these babies, especially for the condition they were in. They were basically in immaculate condition.

However, this post is not about my steals, but about my tshirt. You see, there’s this weird stigma around tshirts that they are just regular tshirts. However, there are so many things you can actually do with a tshirt. As a fashion blogger I highly recommend having tshirts in all of your regular colors along with picking some of your favorite colors. This gray tshirt is great for lounging around the apartment, but let’s say I have to be somewhere really quickly, I just add a few pieces and voila, I have an awesome outfit! That’s basically what I did for this outfit. So, let’s talk about 5 reasons you need to own a tshirt.

They are easy to dress up or down. You can honestly wear a tshirt to lounge around in, or you can add some fun makeup, a statement necklace and you’ve already turned it into a fun look.
They are comfortable. I don’t care what anyone says, just like regular tank tops, tshirts are just as comfortable.
They are great transitional pieces. Whether you are going from cold too hot or hot too cold weather a tshirt is great to have. You get to wear it underneath your clothes and have multiple layers which is great for when it get too hot or too cold.
You look effortlessly chic. You know the girls you see in magazines or even bloggers that make casual look so cool, well start off with a tshirt. Build your way from there.
Tshirts are a basic necessity. I feel like I need to own one pair of jeans, one pair of leggings, and one tshirt besides my work clothes. You can always dress this pieces up or down depending on what you are pairing them with and how you wear them. Trust me confidence is key!
