Recently I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by
Concrete Islandista. I met Tabitha
through Instagram. So when I saw that I
was nominated I was very humbled by this because it’s always nice to be recognized
by others.

Blogger Award - Create 11 questions for the bloggers that you nominate

So, let’s move on to the questions that were asked of me!
Why did you start your blog?
I started back in 2010 (all of those posts have since been
archived) but I wasn’t serious about it and that was just not the best time of
my life that I’d like to still have up on the blog, SO I revamped and in April
of 2013 I started blogging again. One of
my coworkers at the time kept sending me blogs to look at and that was back
when blogging exploded. So I told her I
had a blog and she told me to start up again.
This blog of mine is my creative outlet because I work in an office and
I don’t really get to be creative there.
There was really no reason why I started, I just started because I
needed something else in my life. I
needed a hobby and I thought well, I’ll document my life and outfits and if
people read it, awesome, and if they don’t that’s fine too! Since then I’ve evolved into a different
person and have learned so much along with made so many great friendships.

What has been one of the most exciting things you’ve done
with your blog?
with your blog?
Well, there is something exciting currently in the works,
but something in the past would probably be all of the collabs I’ve done and
all of the conferences/meet ups I’ve been to/organized. I’ve done so many things with this blog that
I can’t pick just one exciting thing. I’m
always excited about my blog, especially if I’m doing new things or working
with brands. Sorry y’all, I don’t have
one specific thing that’s the most exciting haha!

What has blogging taught you?
A LOT. It really
has. It’s taught me that I like to
write. I need to embrace myself and my
differences from everyone else. I was
always a shy person and never thought highly of myself and ALWAYS knew that I
was different but wanted to much to fit in that I didn’t stay true to
myself. My blog has taught me to embrace
myself and how different I am. I may not
be sportin’ the same Chloe wedges as everyone else this season, but that’s
ok! I no longer want to fit in with all
of the popular girls.

Do you have guilty pleasures? Chocolate?
A specific show? Etc.
A specific show? Etc.
Hmm. Well, I have a
few and some of them probably won’t make sense because they will be
contradicting haha. The gym, crackers,
cheese, cars, Taco Bell, and Lifetime.

If you could give your younger self advice what would it be?
Stop trying to grow up so fast. Being an adult sucks lol. Instead of spending all of your money on
crap, save it to pay off your student loans that you are still not even halfway
done paying at 30.

What has been your favorite travel destination? If you haven’t been there yet what would it
be?
be?
Poland, but that’s just because my entire family is
there. Other than Poland I’d love to go
to Italy, Greece, and Japan (specifically Tokyo).

What are some of your favorite topics to write about on your
blog and why?
blog and why?
Hmm, favorite topics.
Well, I don’t really have any because I’m always talking about whatever
is on my mind. Even though this blog
started as a fashion blog I don’t really talk a lot about fashion. I talk about a lot of different things, some
fashion related, and some not. I guess I’m
kind of lax in the topic department haha.

When are you at your most happiest?
Behind the wheel, on an open road, with no one around me and
the windows down.

Or, with my family (the boyfriend included), the pups, or on
cheat day at Taco Bell!

Are there any societal causes you are passionate about?
I don’t really like to talk too much about these types of
things on my blog.

What is one fact about yourself that many people don’t know
or only people close to you know?
or only people close to you know?
That I’m a car enthusiast.
What are your future goals?
Within the next 2-3 years I’d like to buy a house and maybe
have enough to pay off my car/student loans.
I want to pay things off before I settle down and start wanting to have
a family.

Lol love your answers!! Lifetime and Taco Bell cracked me up! I'm also naturally shy and my blog has opened my world and given me great opportunities. I've also learned that there is nothing wrong with being shy.. after being told that from a lot of people growing up and even in work environment. I actually think being shy helps me be a better writer.. because I like to rethink things. Really nice getting to know you more! And those pants are amazing on you!
