White Strapless MDW Outfit

Almost a year ago I wore this exact same dress during
Memorial Day Weekend.  This year it’s so
big that I have to use a belt so that it doesn’t fall off since it’s a
strapless dress.  The detailing on this
is beautiful.  I decided to keep it
simple and pair it with some lace up flats, because who am I kidding if I think I’m
going to be wearing heels this weekend haha! 
Let’s just say, I definitely won’t be. 
I’ll be relaxing in my sandals, or flats. 

I look forward to Memorial Day weekend every year because it’s
the kick off to summer, but it’s also very dear to me.  My grandfather passed away on Memorial Day
when I was younger.  Now yes, this is sad
and shouldn’t be something to look forward to, but Memorial Day weekend is when
I go visit him because he was buried almost two hours away from where I
live.  I don’t go there often, but I
turned it into a tradition to go every Memorial Day ever since my parents
actually let me drive that far many years ago. 
I go there, clean up his area, then go visit my Great Grandfather in the
veteran’s portion (he too came from Poland and ended up spending his last days
here in the USA).  The actual cemetery
itself is beautiful so sometimes I even take a walk.  It’s so peaceful there, and I’m physically
close to my grandpa, even though I know he’s always watching over me and always
watching me in spirit.  That’s why I look
forward to going every year.  The drive
up there is so nice, and the cemetery and church are beautiful.  Plus the entire area is a replica of a famous
church in Poland so that’s another reason why I love going.
