Simple Little Black Dress

Dress:  MakeMeChic // Belt:  Ewa Bazaar // Clutch:  Ewa Bazaar // Shoes:  Marshalls/Guess (old, similar here) // Sunglasses:  Stole from my brother hehe (similar here) // Fitbit:  Best Buy
Can I just start off this post by saying, that this dress is
the perfect LBD if you’re looking to accentuate your curves?  Besides this past week of being sick and
deciding to take a much needed break from working out (I was training a little
too hard, I think that’s why I got sick) I’ve been working out a lot.  I knew that my booty came back (along with my
thunder thighs, I could’ve done without those) and I was working on getting my
tummy back to being flat (too many burritos and pizza) but I didn’t realize how
much work I was actually putting in until I saw these outfit pictures.  When I saw these pictures I was pretty proud
of myself and knew that I also needed to tell everyone about this dress.  It hugs you in all the right places!
My only complaint was that without a belt I didn’t feel
feminine enough.  I also like to
accentuate my waist because it takes attention away from my thighs.  Whenever I work out hard, I always build a
lot of muscle in my thighs which I could honestly do without, but at the same
time I’m proud of how far I’ve come.  I
get my build from my dad, that’s why he was perfect for speed skating.  I’ve seen pictures of him when he was
competing and going pro back in Poland, and he was small up top but his legs
were like tree trunks.
I also wanted to say that my birthday is this week!  Yay for #LibraSeason !  If the fiancé takes me out (depending on if I’m
feeling any better) I think this will be the dress I wear.  It’s great because even with the belt it
gives a little breathing room so if I decide to indulge on dessert (because that’s
the best meal of the day) then I won’t have to worry about a food baby
protruding and I’ll be comfortable not having to unbutton that first button on
my pants.  For those of my readers who
read through all of my lengthier posts, stay tuned for Thursday.  I’m going to write a letter to my younger
self now that I’m turning the big 3-0!
This letter might help some of you, and I know some of you will be able
to relate.
If you follow me on Instagram a few weeks ago I announced
that I had a secret collaboration in the works, BUT I also have ANOTHER secret
collaboration that will be up tomorrow.
In celebration of my birthday I teamed up with a brand and we will be
hosting a giveaway tomorrow.  Ok, so I
had to spoil at least one secret for y’all!
Basically what I’m saying is come back tomorrow and Thursday haha.
