Embrazio Review and Kickstarter

Hat & Top:  My Mom’s // Jeans:  Plato’s Closet // Boots:  Target // Backpack:  Embrazio // Belt:  Passed down from my Grandpa
You might have seen my Embrazio Backpack teaser a few weeks
ago, and I’m so excited that I can FINALLY spill the beans on this backpack and
the kickstarter campaign.  For those of
you who have been following me for a while you know that I’ve worked with
Embrazio before, but this campaign that they’ve asked me to be a part of is a
lot bigger than last time.  We are all
working together to get the word out about the Embrazio Renaissance
Backpack.  I honestly have so many amazing
things to say about this backpack.  The Kickstarter Campaign has loads of information that I highly recommend you go take a look at because Embrazio is trying to make big steps here!

Before my review of the backpack, I wanted to talk a little bit about my experience with Embrazio because they truly are one of the greatest brands I’ve worked with.  First and foremost they talk to me on the phone.  An actual phone call was made regarding this backpack and the campaign.  When I did the first review back in the summer, they also called me just to talk about the company as a whole and what the review would entail.  The Founders of the company are just amazing to work with.  I really can’t say enough good things about them.  The one founder has been in contact with me a lot regarding this campaign and you can tell that she really puts all of her time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears into this company, along with this particular backpack.  She worked on the design and when it finally came to life she was so extremely happy.  The video at the end of this post is one that she shared with me and one that she loves.  It’s showing y’all how they make the backpack.  Not only did they do all of this, but when they sent me the backpack, on the paperwork they wrote a little note to me.  It was the tiniest personal touch that stuck out in my mind.  These people really care about their company and the people who work for/with them.  They have passion, which is something I love.  I think I also admire the founders because they are two people who decided to leave the corporate world after 30 years.  They made a mid life career change in 2012.  I think a lot of people dream of being able to leave their office job and do something they actually love and have a passion for.  People are always saying that you need to love what you do.  However, it’s hard to do that when, well, we all need jobs and not all of us are risk takers.  We all need to somehow sustain ourselves.  I know that I definitely don’t have a passion for going to an office every single day and doing basically the same thing day in and day out.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my coworkers, supervisors, and my VP (which I feel like is shocking to a lot of people when I say that), but the work itself is not something I have passion for, but the environment is what makes it worth it.  I always dreamed of being an entrepreneur.  Which is probably why I started this blog to begin with.  To have something of my own and be proud of.

I’ve been wearing this backpack non stop ever since I got it and it’s been so extremely durable and perfect for every day.  I’m in love with how it is made, the quality is amazing.  I also love that the inside is so nicely finished.  You can tell a lot of time and love went into this backpack.  I wore it to work, to the city, dinner, etc.  It’s been great.  I actually love it so much that a bunch of future blog posts will have this backpack in it.  I’ve had a little obsession with backpacks lately, in case you didn’t notice.  They are just so easy to wear.  This backpack is great because it expands like crazy, but when you don’t have a lot of stuff in it, it flattens out so it’s not this big bulky backpack.  I love that it’s real leather, and the leather has been aging perfectly!  I love it when leather gets that look of being worn a lot and this backpack does just that.  There are hidden pockets that make it perfect for fitting your phone or if you lose little things in big purses all the time you can put it in these pockets that have zippers.  This backpack is the perfect size to fit a bunch of your things in it.  I was able to fit a laptop in this too!

Now I know I said the Kickstarter campaign has a bunch of information on it, but I just wanted to let you know that if you pledge a certain amount of money towards this campaign there are rewards!  YES, THERE ARE REWARDS!  Now their goal is $5,000, but here are their rewards:

  • Pledge $25 or more and you receive an ear bud pouch
  • Pledge $65 or more and you receive a handmade leather curved belt which is patented by Embrazio
  • Pledge $125 or more and you receive a small handmade leather crossbody
  • Pledge $140 or more and you receive a mid size handmade leather crossbody
  • Pledge $310 or more and you receive a handmade leather messenger
  • Pledge $400 or more and you receive a handmade leather backpack in the color cognac
  • Pledge $770 or more and you receive two handmade leather backpacks in the color cognac
  • Pledge $1,100 or more and you get the ENTIRE set!
The reason why Embrazio is doing this Kickstarter campaign is because they already sold out all of their cognac colored backpacks and that inventory was all self funded.  This campaign is to help get enough to be able to bring more quantities of these backpacks and different colors.
I’m so excited to see Embrazio succeed and make more of these backpacks in more colors!  Thank you to the Embrazio team again for this amazing opportunity!

**Please note I was given this backpack for free to review, however all opinions are my own.  Thank you!
