Today’s post has been brought to you by Esqido Lashes, Maybelline, and Influenster. I’m so excited to show you my NYE eye makeup tutorial and introduce some new products that I like and don’t like. I like to give honest reviews so let’s get started!
ESQIDO LASHES
The packaging was really great. I love how they securely wrapped everything.
These lashes are great quality. The rep has also told me that these are cruelty free. I chose the BFF Lashes, you can click here to be redirected to them. They sent me the glue along with the lashes and I must say the glue is top quality as well. I didn’t need that much glue to make sure the lashes were on my lids. They are so full and they are definitely fuller than the picture. I was so pleased with how they came out in my final look. I’ll show you that video in a little bit! I will say that these are a bit pricey but they are definitely worth the $29. They look and feel great, and they are much better than what you will find at any drugstore. They mold to your eye perfectly. They do say not to use mascara on the lashes and not to wash them. So I ended up putting mascara on my own lashes prior to putting these on.
MAYBELLINE
So I was able to review a few pieces from Maybelline thanks to Influenster and I must say a few things I love and a few things I’m not a huge fan of. Let’s talk about the products I love.
Maybelline Master Fixer
This thing is amazing and I wish I had known about it sooner. You use it to fix or erase mistakes with your makeup. If you’re looking for a cat eye/winged tip and you’re not that great at it, this is for you! You can easily erase parts of the liner to make it go into a point which is what I did since I’m out of practice with my cat eye. If you mess up and get mascara on your face (which I do way more than I would like to admit lol) this is great for that as well.
Maybelline Lasting Drama White and Black Liner
The white liner is perfect for putting in the corner of your eye to brighten up your eyes and the black liner is great for undereye or even on your lid. It glides on so smooth and is extremely pigmented.
Here’s the product I didn’t like so much and why.
Maybelline The CityKits Urban Light Eye and Cheek Palette
Ok, so I like the blush and the highlight portion of this palette because it’s extremely light. I don’t like having a super noticeable blush and highlight just because that’s personal preference so I would definitely recommend the blush and highlight portion of this. As for the eyeshadows I was slightly disappointed. I expected it to be just a little more pigmented but they are super light. If you are looking for a lighter more natural look then I will recommend this to you. I do like how on the back they show you where each color should go on your eye, so if you’re not a makeup guru/expert like me, this guide is perfect.
Below is the finished look and the video! Happy New Year y’all!
