Y’all, my 2 week vacation is sooooo close! I’m leaving for Poland this Saturday! Yesterday I kicked off my travel series with this post about what I recommend you bring along with you when traveling to Europe, specifically Poland because that’s where I go every summer. My entire family is back over there (except my parents and little brother) so I like to visit them as often as I can. For today’s post I wanted to share one of my travel outfits. I like to stay as comfy as possible with a little bit of fashion.
Pants: Shein // Shoes: Birkenstocks // Bag: Embrazio // Faux Leather Jacket: Gifted from my mom (similar here)
So I chose this outfit as one of my travel outfits, because based on popular opinion, red IS my color. I paired these Shein pants with my faux leather jacket (gifted from my mama). I had to put on Birks, because I seriously love Birkenstocks. I’ve been wearing them since I was a baby. My parents were always obsessed with them because of how good they are for your feet. They are so comfy! The best part is they are slides, so when wearing these to the airport it is super easy to take your shoes off when going through security. The only time I wouldn’t recommend wearing them is when you have an extremely short layover where you know you’ll be running from one terminal to the next.
Last year the fiance and I actually had to run from our terminals because we had an extremely short layover and our first flight was delayed. Go figure our second plane was also delayed so we ran for no reason lol. At least on the upside we didn’t miss our flight because that would have been really annoying. I have yet to miss a flight (minus the time my mom missed her flight with me as a baby due to a severely delayed first flight), and I’m hoping it never happens because knowing myself I would be extremely stressed out! Have y’all ever missed a flight?

Also, side note, the below two pictures have a story behind them. The first one my fiance was telling me to look angry, as if I missed my bus because that’s just a bad day. That was the best face I could make haha! The second one was me testing out the settings on my camera and I was using him as a model haha.

We have not missed a flight. Almost on our last trip because neither hubby or I were paying attention. Supposedly he was leaning on me to be paying attention and vice versa. Lesson is just check for your gates and make sure they are correct! Love this red pants! Not only is the color beautiful but they look super comfy! Almost there…. your trip will be a lot of fun! Nothing like being with family.

I love the fun red joggers. Red IS your color so it’s fun to see you work it into different pieces. You’re going to have so much fun on your trip! Enjoy and relax with your family!

I absolutely love this look! The red joggers are so, so good. And you have made them so stylish and edgy with the Birkenstocks and leather jacket. And yes, I did miss a connecting flight two years ago on my way to an art show in L.A. I missed the connecting flight in Chicago due to a series of unfortunate mishaps…first my initial flight was delayed about 45 minutes due to weather in NY and Chicago which had me totally stressed out since the layover was only 1 1/2 hours….suddenly cut down to 45 minutes. Then when we landed in Chicago, we were detained on our plane because some drunk idiot sexually assaulted an innocent female passenger two rows behind me. No one could get off the plane until the guy was arrested. Seemingly, I still had about 25 minutes to make my connecting flight. But of course the gate was in a different terminal and the very furthest gate away. I ran like I never ran before and arrived at my gate just in time to watch my plane taking off! Fortunately I was able to get on the next flight which was less than 2 hours later. But I was a hot sweaty stressed out mess by that point! I hope all goes much more smoothly for you, my friend!

Last year I had to bolt through the airport, just to get to the gate to find out that, that plane had also been delayed just like my first one. I was a sweaty mess too! I finally cooled down when we got on the plane. I honestly hate flying into Chicago, their flights are ALWAYS delayed because of weather. Happens to me every time I fly into there.
