Winter Wedding Blogger Collab

Dress & Necklace:  Banana Republic (old, similar here and here) // Jacket:  Super Old (to be honest, I have no idea where I got this jacket, but here’s a similar one) // Shoes:  Old Navy (old, similar here) // Bag:  Amazon

I am so excited that tomorrow is Friday!  Y’all have no idea how this week has been (well maybe you do, if you too had a crazy week) and I can’t wait to just relax for a hot second.  If you read yesterday’s post about my Whole30 experience (click here), I have another little announcement to make health wise.  I’ve decided to attempt 30 days of Yoga.  Now, I feel like I started this at the perfect time because I’ve been severely stressed out, and everything has been hurting me uncontrollably.  Y’all know that I love reviewing different types of diets and anything health related because it’s fun for me.  I will of course try to stick with this for the full 30 days and will let everyone know my experience.  When I was younger I did ballet and jazz because my doctor said it would be perfect for my lungs.  Fun fact, I was hospitalized when I was in second grade around this time of year for an asthma attack and pneumonia.  We didn’t even know I had asthma up until that hospital visit.  Well, ballet helped with my asthma.  It helped my lungs open up.  Well, I obviously haven’t danced since 8th grade, but have done yoga here and there.  I want to like Yoga so bad because I’m halfway decent at it, but there’s something about it that makes me not want to get into it.  I like doing yoga because it really does relax me and calm me down, but I’ve never been able to really stick to it.  I’m hoping this 30 day challenge will help me maybe stick to it.  I know it would help with my stress, health, and overall body, especially with all of the issues I have.  So, we shall see what happens, but for now, just know, I’m doing this, and really excited about it.

Anywho, today I’m part of another Holiday Series collab!  Today’s theme is what to wear to a Winter Wedding.  I’m obsessed with wearing black as a wedding guest because I feel like it looks so classy.  I decided to keep it fun by wearing my Christmas shoes (or that’s what I like to call them).  Check out all the bloggers below!

BOJANA Bo’s Bodacious Blog “Join me over at Bos Bodacious Blog for a lighthearted look at what weddings in your later 30’s and with kids in toe  look like.  😊“
AMBER Avec Amber “The holidays are a magical time of the year, bringing families and friends together to celebrate the season. Holiday weddings also hold their own magic, and are a perfect time to wear richer colors like burgundy, emerald, and navy as well as richer fabrics like velvet or brocade!”
SHELBEE Shelbee on the Edge “For my Holiday Wedding outfit, I chose a simple black and white tweed dress but added tall burgundy velvet boots for a holiday feel.  Some pearls, a flower headband, bow gloves, and a furry clutch complete this wintery wedding look. I am comfortable and on trend all at once!”
ADA Elegance and Mommyhood “I actually went to a wedding this November and wore an adorable lace emerald dress but then when I saw Jennie’s and Monica’s Outfits I decided to show another dressy, fancy outfit that would be perfect for a Holiday Wedding. I mixed an A-Line Leather Midi Skirt with a Pretty Red Top with a touch of black lace. Added some sparkle via my glittery shoes and gold sequined mini clutch and voila!”
JENNIE A Pocketful of Polka Dots ““I selected an evergreen velvet swing dress styled with a burnout velvet kimono to wear to a Holiday wedding. The addition of a tassel necklace and criss-cross tights add festive touches, while velvet block heel shoes insure I will be able to dance the night away in comfort.”
LAURA I Do deClaire “The holidays are a magical time of year that friends and family come together to celebrate so I can see the allure of getting married during this time. It can be a a fun opportunity to add some festive touches to your outfit, too! I played up the burgundy in my skirt with the lace top and accessories as a nod to traditional holiday colors!”
MONICA Jersey Girl, Texan Heart “I’ve been wearing a lot of black lately, especially to weddings.  I would have worn black to all of the weddings I went to this year, but the one that I was in required a certain type of dress and color.  I don’t know why but I feel like black is just so classy, and it can be gloomy to some people, but if you dress it up right you’re good to go!  I mean, at least I have fun colored shoes on right?”

I need some plaid pumps! I adore these and this dress is magnificent! I love the whole outfit head to toe! Heading over now to read your Whole 30 experience. I am starting a 7 day cleanse on Monday and am actually looking forward to it! Yoga, however, I don’t think it’s for me! But who knows, maybe you can persuade me to give it a try.

I hope you had a chance to relax over the past weekend. Things have been on a super fast paced schedule in my neck of the woods and I for one don’t really like that. I have tried Yoga in the past as well and it wasn’t really my thing. I liked that it was different from my normal workout routine but I didn’t like it, like it. This green dress is a beautiful one. It’s perfect for a wedding this time of year and seriously, at a different time as well. The color is beautiful and I love how you styled it with plaid pumps.

I think the editing messed up the colors on this, because it’s actually a black dress, I didn’t see it look green on my screen, but if it’s green that’s even better haha! And, yes, it’s calmed down a bit, but I think yoga is helping a little.

I wish you the best luck with yoga, Monica. I want to try it myself. Your dress looked like a dark hunter green to me when you e-mailed me the photo, same about the coat. I was like, wow that is a perfect tone-on-tone festive green look. Either way that is a fabulous dress and coat but I adore those plaid pumps so much. Totally festive and that bag – I must own it. Where is it from?!

I am so glad you were a part of this one too. Looking forward to the other collabs. =))

I actually linked the bag under my photos, so if you want you can go ahead and check it out right from there, but it’s from Amazon 🙂
