I just wanted to start off this post by saying that this is not a sponsored post. I paid for this service out of my own pocket. However, even my sponsored posts are my true opinions. I hope you enjoy this post!
A few weeks ago while we were at the Emerald Coast Holistic Health Fair, I not only met a ton of people who have epilepsy, just like me (I know it’s horrible to say, but I’m glad that I was able to meet people just like me because it’s nice to know I’m not alone), but I was also introduced to a lot of new businesses in our area. I was always a firm believer that there are certain holistic ways that we can do to take care of our bodies without medication. For example, when my stomach hurts I usually eat a banana and have some chamomile tea because it soothes my stomach instead of immediately grabbing some pepto bismol. Of course I’m not a doctor, so don’t take advice from me, it’s just what works for my body. We were there with our CBD company for obvious reasons, and there have been so many success stories from repeat customers that was extremely nice to hear. Along with this I was introduced to a lot of new businesses in my area that I didn’t even know existed.
One of which was Skintrenzixs. She approached our booth because she actually knows my fiance’s brother and his wife because his wife goes to her for microdermabrasion all the time. I’ve had micro needling done (you can read about that here) that I absolutely loved, and wanted to try something that this company was offering with a show special. It was a combined deal for microdermablading and a chemical peel. I’m obviously getting older and my skin has already started to change. I noticed a change when I was in my late 20’s and started using creams and masks in order to help slow down the aging process. My issue is that I’ll be really adamant on having a great skincare regimen, and then all of the sudden I’ll stop doing it. While I was at the show, the woman behind Skintrenzixs (Melissa) had asked me what I wash my face with and I told her just soap and water. To any other aestheticians out there, I KNOW, I’M SORRY, DON’T KILL ME! She ended up giving me a bottle of her own face wash (I’ll link it below because you can purchase it on Amazon but it is cruelty free, I asked her about that) and I was hooked the first time I used it. There was obviously a major difference in my skin with using an actual face wash, as opposed to regular soap.
After using the face wash, I decided to come back to her booth the next day (it was a 2 day event) and book an appointment with the show special. Within a few days, I was at her office (which she has her own line of skincare and some makeup that is shown in these photos) getting my facial done. Microdermablading is when they take a blade and basically take off the dead skin cells, while the chemical peel does something on a molecular level that helps the skin cells basically come back to life. It felt amazing! I’ve posted before and after pictures below as well, along with what she took off my skin. I know it’s really gross, but that’s all dead skin and peach fuzz haha!
Melissa has been doing this for a long time. She even had a school in Alabama that she started, however has since closed it down because she decided to focus more on her business. She also won the Best in Destin Award in 2018. Her office is located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and when you book an appointment she has an area where she does a consultation first, where you can pick and choose what treatments you would like, and she goes over what each of them are. She will recommend and suggest which treatments are great together if you want to get more than one treatment in your visit. I definitely want to go back for more treatments because surprisingly enough, her treatments are affordable enough for me to be able to treat myself every once in a while.
The before treatment was obviously after I had washed my face the night before and the after treatment was as soon as I got home. Both were taken at the same time of day in the same light. Now I know to some it will look like there isn’t that big of a difference, but my skin just felt so much better. I really felt like my skin had been revived. Trying the anti aging treatments is going to be next on my list.
If you are interested in learning more about the Skintrenzixs face wash (one of her customers uses this as a body wash as well which is great, but can obviously get really pricey), here is the link to the Amazon page. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and have definitely noticed a bit of a difference with my skin. Once I wash my face with it, I will use my eye and face creams, and my face just feels so refreshed afterwards.
In the end I highly recommend going to see Melissa and the face wash is really great too. Make sure to linkup below!
