My oh my, how the time is flying. Every time I talk to someone here in Florida and I say how I’m used to the colder weather (cold to them is 50’s) I keep forgetting that it’s been almost 9 months since we moved. How has it already been 9 months? I wouldn’t have remembered if I didn’t have a planner telling me that today was the day I would be writing about my 9 month update. So many things have happened since the 6 month update. I’m currently experiencing what I think is vertigo, so I’m going to try and write this post as best as I can.
THE GOOD
Youtube
If you read my 6 month update, you would have read about how I was working at the store now because my last job had a piece of shit for an owner. Oops, did I say that out loud? Well, y’all know I keep it real here on the blog. Anyway, because I’m at the store all the time, in September I decided to upload one video on my Youtube channel. Then it turned into 2, and somehow, it turned into it taking off. Within the past almost 2 months, I’ve been uploading videos and I’ve already gotten to the point of monetization which is great (because ya girl needs some extra cash haha, I’ve been on an extremely tight budget). I’ve also created a really tight knit community on my channel and in my Facebook Group that’s linked to my channel. I’m so incredibly excited to see where this will take me, but so far, so good.
Georgia Trip
For those of you who don’t follow me on social media, you haven’t seen my Georgia trip that I went on last week. I’m experiencing a little bit of what I think is vertigo since the trip, however it was amazing. I’ll be talking more about it next week, however to give you a short version, basically last week I flew into Atlanta. It was for a car conference with A Girls Guide To Cars, which is a company I freelance for. I write articles for their site, and I was able to go drive a ton of different cars, meet some experts in the industry, and go to Porsche. We went for the Porsche Experience, which was absolutely amazing. I’ll be making a video of some of the footage from that particular experience, because y’all, if you ever get invited or are able to go, I highly recommend it.
Parents are Visiting
My parents are visiting me so incredibly soon! In a little over a week, my parents plan on being here in Florida to be able to hang out and spend Thanksgiving with me. I’m so excited because it’s been 9 months since I saw my parents last, and it’s really odd. I mean the time has flown so it feels like just yesterday we moved, but it’s going to be so nice seeing them and spending time with them. Especially with the year that we’ve had with my grandparents passing away and then our family dog, who let’s be honest was really my mom’s best friend. It will be a nice break for my parents too because they will both be on vacation. I’m really hoping that my mom cooks a little bit though. She’s been on this cooking and baking kick, and she keeps sending me pictures, so she better be making some of that when she visits haha!
THE BAD
Ashley Homestore Fort Walton Beach, FL
I know, I know. It’s getting old that I keep complaining about this furniture store. However, it’s November, we ordered in February, and we are STILL fighting back and forth with this damn store. I cannot believe that it’s been 9 months (we ordered our furniture a few days after we moved down here) and it’s still not resolved. I’m going to spare you the details, but anything that I’ve written about them previously in my Florida updates is basically the same exact thing.
The dogs
UUUGGGHHHH, y’all, we had the worst flea problem a few weeks ago. It got so bad, and we ended up getting the yard sprayed and I took both of our girls to the vet. They have all of their medicine now for all of these new Florida things, but because of all of the times we washed the pups, Zero developed a skin allergy. Her skin is literally flaking off and I feel so incredibly horrible. The vet said there’s not much we can do except wash her with an oatmeal based shampoo (which we did) and then leave her alone for at least 2 weeks before we wash her again. She’s gotten so itchy that she keeps getting bald spots from biting at her skin. It’s a nightmare. On top of that, the vet discovered that Lilly has a mass on her gums and they want to surgically remove it and test it to see if it’s benign. I cannot catch a break with these two and I feel so bad that I can’t even help them with what they are both going through. At least we have the fleas under control, now it’s time to work on everything else.
IN CONCLUSION
Well, quite a lot has happened since my last update, both good and bad, and stay tuned to a lot of content coming up soon, especially next week. Hopefully by then this terrible vertigo like feeling is gone and I can get back to our normal programming!
Now let’s move on to the linkup!

I can’t believe you have gone 9 months without seeing your parents. That would kill me to go that long without seeing my kids. I’m happy you get to spend Thanksgiving with them. Love your outfit. Great news about your YouTube Channel.

OMG, 9 months already! So crazy it’s been so fast. Congratulations on your YouTube channel. That’s really awesome and well deserved. Hooray to your parents visiting soon. I hope your mom cook you guys a lot of home cooked meals! 🙂 I am sorry to hear about your dogs. I hope Zero feels better soon with her itchiness and Lilly – I am praying it’s a simple surgery to take out the mass on her gums. Sending positive vibes! I hope your week is going well and happy Wednesday!
