THIS IS 34: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!
Every time that I say it’s my birthday, I want to follow it with “and I’ll cry if I want to.” Well, today is my 34th birthday. I can’t believe I’m 34. You’re always told to never ask a woman what her age is. However, I don’t mind being asked. I don’t always remember, and a few weeks ago I actually had to subtract 2021 and 1987 to realize how old I am haha! After I reached 30 years old, I kind of lost track of my age. There are so many things happening this year that it’s all so surreal to be celebrating 34. I’m very grateful and thankful for my life because not everyone makes it to their 34th birthday. In today’s birthday post I want to talk about some advice I have for anyone younger than me. I hope it’s helpful advice.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN AND BODY
I say this all the time, but it’s never too early to start a skincare routine. Back in July I wrote a post (click here) about my updated skincare. Since then I’ve purchased a few more things because I want to start a guasha routine. I do want to document that for this blog. However, because I’m pregnant right now, my face is a tad bit swollen and it wouldn’t be an accurate before and after if I started the guasha routine now. Which is why I’m going to hold off on starting that until my face is no longer swollen. Also, when I say to take care of your body, I’m not saying that to contribute to diet culture. When I say to take care of your body I mean, make sure that you’re getting your healthy foods, but also eating your favorite junk foods in moderation. Make sure to get up and move around. I’m not saying to enter into a fitness competition, but go for a walk for example. I know that when I eat healthy, eat ice cream in moderation, and move my body I just feel so much better.

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE
It’s never too late to try or start something. Of course this is within reason. I’m not saying to quit your job and travel the world if you have children to take care of. For example, back in 2019, my husband and I packed our bags and moved to Florida and started our first business which was our CBD store with his brother. Then not even a year later, we found out that an auto shop in the area was for sale. We decided to jump on that opportunity because my husband had always wanted to own his own auto shop (he’s a mechanic). The auto shop started doing so well and they needed my help at the shop. This meant we were going to shut down our CBD business and it all happened with perfect timing. Within the CBD business there was a lot of red tape and scammy CBD companies that it kind of ruined the industry. Just like with anything that gets trendy. What I’m trying to get at, is it’s never too late to try something. Don’t let society tell you that you’re too old for something. If you’re in your 50’s and you want to go back to college, if you’re in a financial position to do so, do it!

SAVE MONEY
Back in 2019 I wrote a blog post (click here) about how I got myself out of $25,000 worth of credit card debt. I still owe a lot of money for my student loans, but I’m in a much better financial situation. One thing I wish I had previously was a savings account that I wasn’t allowed to touch unless it was an emergency. I started a savings account when we came to Florida, and I’ve been saving ever since. I’m proud to say I have saved up a lot of money. It’s nice to know that I have that cushion there, even though I don’t touch that money. Even though my husband and I are married, we each have our own accounts and a joint account. We just never combined everything and I don’t mind it.

DON’T JOIN AN MLM/PYRAMID SCHEME
As I’m typing this, I’m actually watching Lularich on Amazon Prime. If you don’t know, I have an entire Youtube channel dedicated to anti multi level marketing content. In my opinion, MLMs are just legal pyramid schemes because there’s a loophole of selling products. However, as you’ll see as you do more research on MLM companies, a lot of them walk that fine line. The FTC has a great article about the difference between MLMs and pyramid schemes (click here). I highly recommend reading that to know more information. However, this point to not join an MLM or Pyramid Scheme ties into the last point about saving money. Save your money and invest your money into something else.

DON’T LET OTHERS DETERMINE YOUR WORTH
There are too many toxic people out there in the world who will try to determine your worth. You are worthy and don’t ever forget that. I’ve had toxic people in my life who have tried to bring me down. Unfortunately, I allowed that to happen, until I one day snapped out of it. That was the best decision I made. It sucked at first because I lost a lot of people I called friends and I’ve had trust issues ever since. Since then, I have rebuilt myself, my worth, and I’m now married with an amazing family and a business. If you would’ve asked me 9 years ago about where I thought I would be today, it’s definitely not where I am now. I would have never dreamed of having the life I have today. With that said, DO NOT let anyone else determine your worth.

IN CONCLUSION
I’m excited to be 34 today. As I said in the beginning, not everyone is lucky enough to live to this age. Not everyone is able to experience what I have experienced in my life. I may live a pretty average life, and I’m not out here driving a Lambo, but I’m very grateful. Reflecting on the past 34 years is something I’ll be doing today. Thank you to all of you who visit this blog or watch my Youtube videos. It means so much.
