THINGS I’VE LEARNED AFTER BECOMING A MOM
Ever since becoming a mom, so many things have changed. From how my daughter has brought a love like no other in my life to the physical aspects of how my body changed. There are a plethora of things I’ve learned as a stay at home mom, but I wanted to go over just a few. These are the ones that stick out the most.

As challenging as motherhood is, it’s pretty awesome being someone’s mom.
Motherhood has been the biggest challenge of my life, yet the most rewarding. Seeing Scarlett’s little smile every morning when I take her from her crib is the best way to start out the day. Being able to watch Scarlett grow and develop into her own little person is just amazing.
My husband is the best, even though I already knew that.
I already knew that my husband is the best, but he’s stepped into this father role flawlessly. He is good at everything he does but being a dad is what he was meant for. Not only is my husband the best father, but he’s been my rock more than ever before.

I understand my mom now.
I’ve never understood my mom more than I do now. Now everything that my mom has said or done makes more sense. I’m sure my mom has the same questions every day that I do such as “am I a good mom” but if you’re reading this, you’re the perfect mom. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be the woman who birthed me and loves me no matter what, the woman I call mom.
There aren’t enough hours in the day.
There are 24 hours in a day, and it’s not enough. I never thought there were enough hours in a day, but it’s even more so now. The days fly by now. Faster than they ever have before. Scarlett will be 7 months in less than two weeks. I look back on pictures from the beginning and I just can’t believe how much she’s accomplished in such a short span of time.

Having a routine is important.
I think this is common sense, especially with a baby. However, having a routine has helped so much. We’re still not 100% on schedule with our naps but we’re slowly getting there.
Try to make time for yourself if you can.
I know this is nearly impossible, but it’s so important. For example, on Sunday my husband watched Scarlett so I could take some time to repot my plants. I know to some this may sound like work, but it’s therapeutic for me. In addition I still upload onto this blog and work on YouTube videos. It may be a few minutes here and there but it’s something that I enjoy. I may not do it as much as I used to but I’m still doing it.

I have a huge appreciation for single parents.
I’ll never understand how single parents do it. If my husband wasn’t here to help not even with watching Scarlett but just being here for me mentally, I’d be so lost. He’s my only family that I have here to help me. I can’t imagine doing this on my own.

IN CONCLUSION
At the end of the day becoming Scarlett’s mom has been the best thing. Let’s move on to the linkup!

Monica, I love this post so much! Parenthood really is a game changer and changes our perspective on so many things. It is also definitely NOT a one person job. My appreciation for single parents is very high as well because it often takes even more than 2 people to do this thing! Keep up the great work, my friend. You are an amazing mom!
