IT WAS A GREAT DAY FOR A BABY SHOWER
On Sunday I threw my sister in law a baby shower. She’s having her first girl so I wanted to make the baby shower extra special. It was beautiful outside which I was so excited about because it had been raining for several days. Not to mention it was a little chilly. However, Sunday was beautiful. Which was great because the kids could be rowdy outside and we had way more room since we made it an indoors and outdoors party.

THE OUTFITS
Of course Scarlett and I had to dress up in pink for my future niece and Scarlett’s future bestie. Scarlett wore this adorable pink gingham onesie with her cowgirl boots, while I decided to go for this pink dress from Target that’s actually currently on sale. I loved the sleeves. I wasn’t sure if it would make me look bigger because of how puffy it was but I felt confident in it which is all that mattered to me. I’m shocked that both of us lasted as long as we did in our outfits due to spit up and stuff like that. We lasted the entire day though!
SIMPLE DECORATIONS
My original plan was to have a balloon garland. I had this entire idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like. However, after actually sitting down and realizing that I have two dogs that will most likely attack the garland, we didn’t have a place to put it, and I have Scarlett so how am I supposed to get all this done if my husband is doing the bulk of everything already. Needless to say, we settled for super simple decorations and didn’t have an aesthetically pleasing shower. Most of you will probably know exactly what I’m talking about too haha. At least we had great company, great food, and great dessert. Along with my sister in law did enjoy herself and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. I just wish I took more pictures.
THE CAKE
This cake is from Smallcakes and it was vanilla with vanilla buttercream frosting. If you have a Smallcakes near you I highly recommend using them for really any party or occasion. My baby shower cake was made by them too. It’s so delicious and they did a great job. Not to mention their pricing is pretty decent. At least from my experience, maybe I just haven’t found the right place here yet. Anyway, let’s move on to the linkup!

Aw, Monica, what a lovely shower! You all look so wonderful in your pink outfits! I love that poofy pink dress on you. The sleeves are super fun! And I am dying over Scarlett’s cowboy boots! OMG! So cute. You sister-in-law also looks radiant in that fabulous body hugging dress showing off her beautiful bump!
