MEG PIE, MY FIRST MOTHER’S DAY, & SOME UPDATES

Ok, so first and foremost, long post alert! In this post I’m going to be sharing my friend’s new business called Meg Pie/Megan’s Pieces which I briefly went over last week. The pieces I purchased and are my favorite will be listed and linked. In addition I’ll be talking about my first Mother’s Day (I want to document it to have forever in case I ever archive this blog). There will be other things sprinkled in at the end of the post that is going to be just some updates. MAMA TEE: MEG PIE
I actually wore this outfit strawberry picking this past weekend. Although I had different converse on because I didn’t want to get these dirty. This was after strawberry picking when we went to go pick up my mother in law. Since my sister in law is having her baby any day now, my mother in law came to help her out. I’m not going to lie, whenever I read mama I always think of Bohemian Rhapsody and yell, mamaaaaaaaaaaa oooooooo. I can’t help myself. Does anyone else do this too?

MIND YOUR OWN MOTHERHOOD TEE: MEG PIE
I HAD to get this shirt. One thing I’ve been very big on is people minding their own business when it comes to motherhood. I’ve vented quite a bit here on the blog with different topics pertaining to this (this is the perfect example of what I’m talking about). After becoming a mom myself, I still stand by my original commentary, but even more. There has been quite a bit of judgement cast on me that I’ve found out about and it’s ridiculous. Unless there is something truly bad happening to a child where CPS needs to be called, your parenting and my parenting might be completely different and you need to mind your business.

I’m not sure if any of you have been following the Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp defamation case. This shirt is inspired by that case. If you know, you know. This shirt had to be in my possession because it was just too perfect for what’s been said in court. If you didn’t know what hearsay was prior to this case, you definitely know what it is now haha.

MOTHER’S DAY
WEEKEND BEFORE MOTHER’S DAY
The weekend before Mother’s Day, my husband took us to the Converse outlet. I’ve been dealing with a lot of PPA and leaving the house is terrifying for me. Which is why the most that we usually do is go for our walks every day and then we go to the doctor/pediatrician for check ups. Because of this, my husband took us out of the house and to the Converse outlet. I have so many pairs of Converse, and I definitely don’t need anymore. However, my husband told me to pick whatever I wanted so I chose these and then he told me to pick another pair which I’ll be showcasing in a future blog post.
STRAWBERRY PICKING
We took Scarlett strawberry picking for the first time! We didn’t take too many pictures because it was a bit crowded. Not to mention, it was hot so we wanted to pick them kind of fast, and Scarlett fell asleep. My brother in law and sister in law came with their two boys as well. We were kind of hoping that the more my sister in law walked, maybe she’d go into labor haha! She’s due any day now, but girlfriend is still active and moving around like she normally does. Afterwards we had strawberry shortcake and strawberry ice cream. Oh it was delicious!
ACTUAL MOTHER’S DAY
On actual Mother’s Day, my husband watched Scarlett while I went ahead and did exactly what I wanted to do. That was to make strawberry bread with the strawberries we picked, AND to clean in peace. Cleaning has become very therapeutic for me, especially after moving into our first (and hopefully last, because we hate moving) home. When I’m with Scarlett during the day though, it’s very hard for me to clean properly and in peace. So, my husband played with her while I did my thing. I know most moms would prefer to relax or go out to breakfast/brunch/lunch, but that’s not for me. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been struggling with PPA so leaving the house is very draining for me. This was how I wanted to spend my first Mother’s Day. We had dinner afterwards, and then we played with Scarlett together. It was perfect!
MY FIRST BABIES
I haven’t shared Lilly and Zero in quite a bit, but these are my first babies. I know some people out there don’t consider pets babies, and it’s mother’s day for human babies, but I disagree. These two prepared me to have more patience. They taught me so much and prepared me to be Scarlett’s mom. Now they help me with her, mostly by giving her love, especially when she’s crying or when it’s time to go get her from the crib. However, these two (especially Lilly because I’ve had her longer), will forever be my first babies.

I recently did a series of Instagram reels about my travels to Poland because I’ve been really missing it. I’m going to link them all here, but I’d love for you to follow me if you’d like! I don’t really have a niche on Instagram (which is probably why I haven’t grown haha), but it’s just a mix of everything pretty much.
INTERVIEWING THE CEO OF TORI BELLE
Like I said a few weeks ago, I interviewed the CEO of Tori Belle. Tori Belle is an MLM company and if you’ve been here for a bit, you know I’m very anti MLM. There is an entire category (click here) dedicated to this topic. Well, Laura Hunter came across my first ever video about Tori Belle from 2019. Afterwards we spoke via Zoom and I made an entire video about the conversation. I made an Instagram Reel for it too with an audio that I thought was a “teehee” moment haha!
3 YEARS IN FLORIDA
I still haven’t made a post about our 3 years in Florida. It’s been a few months since we hit that anniversary, but I made an Instagram reel and put our 3 years into a 9 second reel haha! I’ll eventually write my 3 year post, but for now here is the reel with the caption saying what we’ve done so far.

I had a friend many years ago who was constantly judging and comparing how others parent including her own husband. I found myself constantly telling her that different doesn’t mean wrong! That has become my response to any kind of judgments like that! Different doesn’t mean wrong! Great post, my friend. And a belated Happy Mother’s Day!
