9 MONTHS IN VS. 9 MONTHS OUT
When I took that picture on the left, I didn’t know that would be my last photo while pregnant. That was the morning of my OBGYN appointment where they told me Scarlett could come any day now even though she wasn’t due for a few weeks. She came two days later. I was only four days into my maternity leave haha.

9 MONTH POSTPARTUM UPDATE
Well, a lot has changed, obviously. I’m still healing my body, and Every Mother has actually been really helpful. I’ve noticed some of the issues I was experiencing with my pelvic floor are getting better. It’s definitely not like pre pregnancy, but it’s getting better. I haven’t lost anything except the initial weight from the hospital but my weight fluctuates. I’m sure part of that has to do with breastfeeding, but I’m not as worried about it as I was in the beginning.
Other than that, being a mom has been a serious change in life, which is obvious haha. I have good and bad days. There are days where I think I’ve got this and then something will happen where it sets me back. According to my other mom friends this is just part of motherhood. Even with the set backs and some of the bad days, it’s all worth it to see that little smile and excited sounds Scarlett makes.

9 MONTH BÈBÈ UPDATE
As I’ve said previously, I won’t be talking about Scarlett’s health or anything too much because I want to keep that private. What I will say is she’s a healthy little baby who loves seeing me in the morning when I take her out of her crib, seeing her dad before he goes to work and when he comes home, crawling, petting her doggy sisters, and her favorite things to eat besides my milk are mangoes and prunes.
She’s doing so well and even though she’s definitely an explorer like her dad (which keeps me very busy haha), and she’s not a huge fan of sleeping, she’s the best baby. Her personality has been showing 1000% and let’s just say she’s going to be hilarious.

POSTPARTUM ANXIETY UPDATE
As some of y’all might remember my post where I opened up about my postpartum anxiety, well it’s gotten a little better. I’ve been trying to get out more because I know I can’t keep Scarlett from the world forever. I’ll be completely honest,
I feel most comfortable in Target. I think it’s because whenever I go, there are always moms there. This may not seem like a big deal but it almost shows me that it’s totally ok to go out with your babies. Not to mention, Target has a nursing room so if I ever go to Target and need to nurse, I can go somewhere in peace. The drive getting there though is still something I’m terrified of. I’m still terrified of driving, but I’m hoping I’ll eventually get my confidence back when it comes to driving.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
I have no idea what the future holds, but I’m sure there will be so many things that change by the time Scarlett turns 1, but I’m super excited for her first birthday. We obviously don’t really have too many family members here or friends, but we’ll probably have a few people over and eat cake. Anyway, let’s move on to the linkup!

Aw, Monica, I love the side by side photos! That orange dress is so fabulous on you with Scarlett in and out! Your anxieties will definitely get better with time and with Scarlett becoming more independent. But then new anxieties arise when that happens. I really do think that it is all just part of parenthood. It only means you love that sweet baby girl more than anything and that means you are doing the most important thing the right way! Keep on keeping on, my friend, You have definitely got this!
