IT’S OFFICIALLY THE HOLIDAY SEASON!
Well, it’s officially the holiday season! How many of you have already decorated and finished your shopping? I haven’t done either haha. This weekend is when I’m going to hopefully finish decorating. Most of my shopping is done, except for a few things I still have to get and some stocking stuffers. This will be the first year where I actually go all out when it comes to stockings. Now that we have our house I want to make it super cozy for the holiday season.
Last year we were still living in our rental, and I actually bought a really tiny tree instead of getting ours out of storage. Bebe was very itty bitty at that time so I didn’t even have the motivation to decorate. With that gifts that have delivered so far though, there are boxes everywhere. Why didn’t anyone tell me how much room baby and dog toys take up?!

MY DR. PHIL EPISODE AIRS TODAY
At the time of writing this the episode hasn’t aired yet, so I haven’t seen it. I’ll probably make a video or post about my experience and what I thought of the episode. I haven’t seen the fully edited version yet. To be completely honest, I’m very nervous about it, only because I hope I don’t look like an idiot haha. I spoke from the heart and my experiences, so I think it’ll be fine, but if there is anything I want to add I’ll make a video. There was one thing that I forgot to say while I was on the show, so I’ll most likely add that into my video or post. Once the full episode gets posted onto Youtube, I’ll share it here and of course on my social media.

MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT CAME
My Christmas present came really early. It’s a Peloton! My husband asked me if it was ok that I won’t have anything to open come Christmas but I’m totally fine with that. I’ve already used it three times so far and I love it. Last year while I was pregnant and after bebe was born, my husband was going to buy me one for my birthday/Christmas/anniversary gift, but then we bought the house. I knew that if we bought one, it wouldn’t get used, especially because my recovery was really rough. My body still isn’t back to it’s normal self, and I’m not sure it ever will be.
There are a few things that I want to eventually get checked out because I don’t know if I’ll need to go to physical therapy, but unfortunately, the way life is right now, I have no way of even going to PT. With my anxiety, I don’t trust anyone besides family with bebe, and I don’t really have anyone who could watch her for me. Anyway, if you have a Peleton let me know what your username is (mine is monicahayworth) so that we can be friends on there!
Also, I had someone ask me the other day why I chose to go the Peleton route, so I guess here is my response to anyone else who might ask. I’ve never been a big indoor cycle type of person, but my sister in law was always raving about her Peleton. She has told me about how much it has not only helped her physically but also mentally because she feels like she’s doing something really good for her body. I’ll say that so far, I’ve felt really great mentally too because I feel the same way. Physically is a little different because I’m at my heaviest currently so the extra weight is really hard on my joints so I’ve been taking it easy. I’ll probably give an update once I’m a little more into my Peleton journey so to speak.
The person who asked me this said they just couldn’t justify spending that kind of money. What I will say, is yes they are very expensive, which is why we waited. We couldn’t justify spending that kind of money either, especially because my recovery was so hard so it would’ve just sat there for months. However, they had some great deals around Black Friday (not sure if they still do). At first we had been looking into used ones, but the deals they had were really great.

AN MLM REP SLID INTO MY DMS
Well, it’s happened again. An MLM rep slid into my dms. However, this time around, it was a very pleasant conversation. It’s very rare to have a level headed conversation. I’ve reacted to this rep a few times on my channel because I react to what is sent to me, and anything that pops up as sponsored on my feed if it’s anything worth even looking into. Well, this particular rep has had some severely terrible things happen recently in her life that she has been very public about. However, I always edit that out. The reason why, is even though it’s on a public platform, I don’t want it on my channel.
My channel focuses on MLMs, the tactics they use, and really any other types of scams out there. I’m not here to focus on an MLM reps personal life. If they use things such as finances or anything like that into their pitch then yes that pertains to the MLM portion that I talk about. However, this situation had nothing to do with it. Yes, she can use it as part of her pitch, but so far, she hasn’t.
With that said, the rep contacted me and told me that she appreciated me leaving that part out and blurring her face. I’ve had people comment or DM me about not blurring faces and that it’s dumb because it’s fair use, especially when it’s posted on a public platform. Which, yes, they’re correct. However, my goal is to use these reps as an example of tactics within the MLM industry. What they look like or who they are has nothing to do with what I’m talking about.
This isn’t to throw any shade at creators in the anti MLM genre who don’t blur faces, because they are legally allowed to do so. It’s just not what I want to do and that’s my reasoning behind it. Is it annoying and I have to edit even more because of that? Yes, but it’s only an extra step because I don’t want people going and harassing these people. That’s not the point.

LET’S MOVE ON TO THE LINKUP!
Alright, it’s time for the weekly linkup!

Great post, Monica! I can’t wait to see your Dr. Phil episode! You look super cute in this fun outfit and that skirt is magnificent. And how exciting to get your new Peloton! I find that for joint pains, just a short daily yin yoga session works wonders. After I had my kids, I had so many joint issues and pains and a few years ago I started on my yoga kick and I cannot believe how the joint pain has gone away and never really returned. I had resigned myself to the fact that bearing children would make my joints ache for the rest of my life. But it’s not so!!! Yay! Just wanted to share that with you because it might be worth trying for a few weeks and see how you feel. I use YouTube for all of my yoga needs, by the way. There are lots of great yoga instructors, you just have to find the one that feels right for you. And I do it all right in my living room so you don’t even have to leave the house. Another Yay!!!

I love yoga! I have an issue with my knee, and the extra weight has made it worse so I’m hoping that once I start really working out and drop some of this weight it’ll be less painful. However, I do love Yoga. I have done two of the 30 days of yoga with Yoga with Adrienne on Youtube. She does it every new year, so I think I might do it this year again. I should check my peloton too, because I think they have yoga classes on there too.
