YOUR OWN TWIST LINKUP THEME: EVERGREEN
In today’s post, my friend and I are bringing you the monthly linkup. The theme is Evergreen. I missed last month’s post, because I completely dropped the ball and didn’t realize what week we were on in the month. I actually wore this exact same cardigan in our Tim Burton YOTL theme back in October. It’s very fitting for the holiday season, and I wanted to put together an evergreen, goth Christmas look. This is what I came up with.

MY TURN
If you follow me on Instagram, the other day I posted a reel using the audio where they say “This chapter of my life is called my turn and I’m unapologetic AF about it.” In that reel I was actually on my peloton. I know I’ve spoken about my peloton twice already, but just hear me out on this. When I got my peloton I started off and was just hoping to get into some kind of shape, but lately I’ve been looking at it in a different way. This is my “me time” as I like to call it. It’s some time I set aside in my day where I can truly just work on myself and motivate myself.
Some people might not see working out as self care, and more of a chore, which it definitely can seem that way. However, I’ve decided to look at it as self care. Not only does that motivate me more, but it makes me feel better about myself mentally. My mental health has taken quite the nose dive recently and I’m hoping that taking 15, 20, or 30 minutes out of my day just to work on myself might help. I haven’t prioritized myself for a while now, and of course it’s because my daughter comes first 100% of the time, and will always come first. At the same time, I do have to be healthy for my daughter both mentally and physically in order to be the best mom I can be. Which is why I’ve made it my goal to keep taking that small amount of time to take care of myself both until the end of the year, and next year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I’m not sure what all of my readers celebrate so I’ll say Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. I’ll be celebrating Christmas and this year my in laws are actually coming into town and I couldn’t be more excited. For the first time since we moved to Florida, we’ll be spending Christmas with one set of parents. Unfortunately, my parents couldn’t make it this year, and while it would have been awesome to have the entire family together to celebrate, but maybe next year they can come down.

NEW YOTL THEMES
Make sure to check out the new themes for 2023. I’m super excited to continue going with this monthly linkup. It’s so much fun and a way to be creative.

First of all, I freaking love this goth inspired holiday look! Of course, I am dying over your fabulous green velvet kimono. So pretty! And those shoes get me every time.
I always hated exercise and a few years ago I was able to shift my perspective to the fact that my body needs exercise the same way it needs sleep, water, and food. I sleep, eat, and drink every single day and if I can make that happen (because we do make that happen every single day without questioning whether we have time for it) then I can definitely make time for 20-30 minutes of exercise as well. Do I exercise every day? Well no, because when life interferes, I give up the exercise first, the food second, the sleep third…but I never give up drinking water because that would just be dumb and really unhealthy! Keep on keeping on with your self care, my friend! It is necessary for us to function at our best.
