As you may have guessed, I’m a summer and warm weather person. I hate the cold, and I can really only stand fall because it contains Halloween haha. I also love apples, apple cider, and pumpkin pie. For today’s post I wanted to show how to transition a maxi dress into fall on top of also transitioning it with a linen jacket. I love linen and I know that it’s really only meant for warmer weather, but I can’t help but try to wear it as long as possible. I took this dress and jacket and wore them super casually. I added ankle booties and that’s basically how I would wear this in the fall time.
People automatically think maxi dresses need to stay in the warmer months, but I honestly think otherwise. I love buying pieces that transition well between seasons, even if it means you need to get a little creative and REALLY push the fashion rules to pull it off. I feel as though since the background of the print is a darker blue, that’s what helps. It’s also not mixed with neon summer colors or anything like that.
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend! Here’s to summer basically being over, but at least now we get to start wearing boots, scarves, and sippin’ on some hot cocoa while snuggling up with your fur babies and fiance. At least that’s what I’ll be looking forward to lol.

I'm a summer lover as well – love how you layered up your maxi for fall, it's great solution to get more wear out of summer favorites.
