As everyone knows I love doing my nails. I find inspiration in everything. Whether it be a quote or a design or even a dress I saw in the display window. For today’s post I’m introducing a challenge that was given to me by ModCloth. Their challenge was part of the Nail Klub Challenge. They asked to take one of their dresses and create a nail design to match it. Well I actually chose the dress below because the name of it, “Luck be a Lady.” As soon as I saw the word luck and lady I thought Queen of Hearts and Royal Flush. I decided to recreate something that matches both of these in nail art form. For Queen of hearts I chose an OPI Nail Polish in red and used nail art pens and white Sally Hansen nail polish for the Queen, Ace, 2, 3, and 4 cards with hearts. For the royal flush I used a black Sally Hansen polish and white Sally Hansen for the cards for the 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. Now, since you read why I chose the dress and why I put a deck of cards on my nails I wanted to tell you another reason why I chose this particular dress. It’s from a musical called Guys and Dolls and later Frank Sinatra also sang this song. I mean, who doesn’t love a good musical or Frank Sinatra?
