Someone said to me yesterday that in order to do well at your job and be successful you have to love what you do. I think this is the best advice that anyone can give to someone who is working whether it be full time or part time. I know a lot of people who work at their jobs just because it is a job and well in this economy you are LUCKY to have a good job. Now, with that being said, why not make the best of it? Even if you really truly don’t love what you do, at least try because there are people who would do anything to be in your shoes.
Now if you don’t know I have worked in an array of places. I’ve worked in the food/restaurant business, retail, and corporate. There are pros and cons to all of those places. One thing I will say and I thought I would never say this, is I’m glad I worked within the food/restaurant, and retail industries before corporate. I feel as though it gave me a foundation. In my opinion “only the strong survive” really pertains to those industries. I had to be able to have great customer service face to face and I got a little bit of a work out whenever there was shipment or a change within the visual merchandising aspect. The one thing I loved about those industries is there was no routine. Every day was different. However, this was also a bad thing because I could never plan anything unless it was a month ahead of time and I had to get approval for my requested days off first. Plus, I was also going to school full time so I really had no time to myself. That’s the one thing about working at a corporate headquarters that I love. I have time to myself. It took me a lot of “blood, sweat, and tears” to get to where I am today and I’m glad it was as hard as it was. I feel as though I appreciate my job now more than I would if I landed this job right after graduation. This may not be the same for everyone but I know that all of the hard work for me has paid off and I’m glad I was working my butt off only to get rewarded with my dream job.
Also, another great thing is I have enough time for blogging! I was a business major and fashion minor and I always wanted to work within the fashion industry. Even though this blog is a silly little thing I feel as though I still have some connection (even though I don’t want this to strictly be a fashion blog) with the world of fashion. Another great part is I get to meet people! Even if those people aren’t even within the same state or country for that matter it is still great.
Now let’s move on to my outfit of the day shall we?
Now in case you haven’t noticed or just don’t know that I work a full time 9-5 Monday-Friday job besides blogging you know that I really don’t like Mondays. Sorry Monday, nothing against you personally, just what comes with you (first day of the work week=the curse of problems). While I was on my way to work it was almost as if mother nature knew that I dislike Mondays. Below is a picture of what I had to drive into. The greatest part is it was super sunny to the point where I couldn’t see out of my windshield and all of the sudden right next to my office building there’s this cloud of fog. Nice try Mother Nature, you still didn’t ruin my good mood!

You're a beautiful warrior queen in my view. This outfit is truly wonderful. I love the scarf and the boots. Charming beauty you are. Your fiery red hair looks as wonderful as your outfit.

Aww thank you, you are too sweet! The red hair will be gone eventually though. I was given a challenge by a friend to grow out my natural hair color 🙁 It's very sad because I like the red. I'll be rockin' a natural ombre!
