If you’ve been following me for a little bit, you know that I’ve been living a healthy lifestyle since June. Working out, eating right, and drinking lots of water. If you follow me on social media, I’ve talked about this a bunch of times. I don’t think people realize how important water is in everyday life. I drink at least a gallon every day. Some people look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them that because people don’t see how it’s possible. Trust me, once you get used to it, it’s really not that hard, I promise! I will, however, say, in the beginning, if you feel bloated and are taking frequent trips to the restroom, this will go away after about 1-2 weeks depending on your body. Also, make sure to hydrate prior to a workout; you’ll see a huge difference in how energetic you are in your workout with water! This is why I want to introduce LIFEWTR today.
I found LIFEWTR at my local 7-Eleven. I have one right down the street from where I live, and it’s so convenient to grab my water and go. As I said, water is important for the human body, that’s why LIFEWTR is great. Every single drop of LIFEWTR is purified and pH balanced, with electrolytes for taste. Take a moment to also check out their social hub ThirstForInspiration.com. One thing I love about their packaging is how bright and fun it is. It’s so creative that it sparks creativity in myself. The bright colors make the bottle more appealing, and when you’re obsessed with active wear, you know how fun brightly colored clothing is as well!
There are so many different tips and tricks to drinking water, but before we get into those, let’s talk about how you figure out how much water you should be having in a day. Take your current weight, divide it by two. The answer you get is how many ounces you should be drinking in a day. Now, if you are a coffee or tea drinker, drink even more water. That’s why I drink a gallon because I drink lots of coffee (coffee and tea are diuretics so they actually dehydrate your body). The question I get a lot is: Why do we need to drink water? Well, it helps regulate your body and metabolism. Did you know that you should be drinking at least 8 ounces as soon as you wake up to help boost your system to start up for the day?
Do I need to keep going on why water is important? Ok, so then what do you do if you hate drinking water? For some of us, it’s easy to drink water because we’ve been drinking it for a while. However, what happens if you’re a soda-drinking or juice-drinking type of person? Keep reading to find out 5 ways to trick yourself to drink water.
5 Easy Ways to Trick Yourself to Drink Water
Buy a Pretty/Fun Bottle
That’s what I love about LIFEWTR; they already did the hard work for you. They have made such awesome bottles. The artwork on them is beautiful. My favorite one is the one pictured above. I love eyes, so it was just perfect!
Add Fruit
This can be either frozen fruit (so they are like ice cubes with flavor) or just add cut up strawberries, or raspberries. It gives the water a little extra flavor.
Add Mint or Basil
This gives the water a refreshing taste. Also, you don’t really have to do much work like the cut up or frozen fruits because you just add some leaves to your water.
Add Lemon
The most common way that I know a lot of people add flavor to water is adding lemon. It’s almost like you have a lemonade type feel.
Buy a Straw
Buying a straw helped me so much in the beginning. I didn’t have an issue drinking water, but the amount of water I had to drink in a day was really hard for me to get used to. I decided to buy a straw. For whatever reason, when I used a straw, I drank water faster because I wasn’t just taking gulps, I was taking sips every few minutes and I was so surprised that first day I hit one gallon!
As you can see above, you can find the LIFEWTR at your local 7-Eleven in the fridge. Have you tried LIFEWTR or will you be trying it? How do you feel about the colors and artwork? I think that’s by far my favorite!

I was purchasing LIFEWTR quite frequently for a while at the local grocery store. I love the artwork on the bottles and they were on sale for only $1 a piece. I stocked up! The price went up quite a bit so I haven't bought it since then.
