This past weekend it was my work bestie’s bachelorette party. Ok, well she’s not really my work bestie anymore because she stayed at my last job, but I will always think of her as my work bestie. I actually haven’t made a connection with anyone at my new job like the one I have with her. I mean, I also have known her for 5 years. Well, we went to Crystal Springs Grand Cascade resort this weekend. I’ve known of this resort for quite some time because I’ve been there before, and it’s right here in Jersey, not too far from where my parents live. I’m going to say that I highly recommend this resort. No, this post is not sponsored by them, all of us paid for this resort out of pocket. There is so much to do there, that I wish we could’ve had more time. We were only able to do a few things, but if you’re looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains, make sure you stay here for a few days.
On Day 1 we all arrived at the resort. Parking was kind of a bitch because it was confusing on how to get into the parking lot, and there’s barely any open spots in the parking lot. After that we were able to check into our rooms a little early so we had a nice little meet and greet in our room. My friend Heather and I stayed with the bride to be, Annaly. I also know Heather from my last job. We set up the room to show all of the different goodie bags, and bachelorette party goodies. We all soaked in how beautiful it was and how amazing our view was. After this we had some champagne and then we went to the pool. We were supposed to go hiking, but we got there too late. The pool was beautiful! They had a water slide, which Heather and I went down, I mean we are grown ass children so it was expected that we would go. The drinks at the pool were really delicious.
After that we ended up all going back to our rooms and getting ready for dinner. A side note, when I took a quick shower after the pool, the soap in the room was amazing. I announced it to everyone that the soap smelled amazing lol. We took a shuttle to the Minerals Spa location of the resort. The food was pretty good. Our server was such a sweetheart. She had to have worked at Disney or something because she was so cheerful. I ordered an 8oz sirloin with smashed potatoes and creamy spinach. The smashed potatoes aren’t actually smashed/mashed, they are these little miniature potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly for my medium rare request, but it needed a little oomph. I felt like it was lacking a little flavor. I also tried the drink Gold Digger. It was pretty good. We also ordered calamari for the table, and I must say it was AMAZING! I haven’t had good calamari like that in a while.
After dinner is when the party started. The restaurant turned into a little mini bar/club. We danced the night away and had such a great time. After that we took a shuttle back to the hotel. Our driver was so nice. We got back to the room pretty late and the bride decided we weren’t going to yoga, until the next morning haha. I wanted to sleep in but if Annaly was able to wake up, I had to. She was my motivation. Only a total of 4 of us went (just the girls in my room). I will say, that even though we were exhausted yoga was totally worth it. It was a great stretch and helped with waking up. Thankfully I don’t drink a lot, so I wasn’t hungover, but I was sore from dancing the night before. Yoga is also at the Minerals Spa which you can either take a shuttle or drive yourself. After yoga we had brunch at 10:30, however before we entered the resort there was a mini petting zoo. Y’ALL I GOT TO HOLD A GOAT! I was so excited I was screaming when we pulled up and I saw the goats. The people that came with the animals also do goat yoga, so I’m sure I’ll write a post about that because I’m totally doing it. Ok, so let’s get back to brunch. The food was so delicious, but there was so much of it. I couldn’t pick what I wanted the most, so I just had a little bit of everything.
After brunch we had to checkout. Annaly had a spa appointment so she only had a little bit of time left with us before she went. Heather and I explored a little bit and she took some pictures for me since I received the black and white checkered crop top as a review, I had to take some pictures. As a side note, the top is super cute, I just feel like I need to drop a few lbs to feel a little more comfortable in it.
All in all, I highly recommend Crystal Springs. They have so many activities, so before you book your stay definitely take a look at the activities and schedule around those. All of us had such a great time and I was so happy that I was able to be a part of Annaly’s special weekend. I cannot wait until she ties the knot!
xoxo Monica
