Floral Maxi and a Linkup

Y’all, I’m in love with this dress.  It is super comfortable, fits me in all the right spots, and the slit is perfect.  I thought the slit was going to be a bit much, however it doesn’t really show unless the wind blows.  Also, can we just talk about these pictures real quick?  I watched my vision come to life.  I had a particular photo/theme in mind, and for once it actually came out how I imagined, actually it came out better than I imagined.  Don’t you just love when that happens?

So today is day 5 of the fiance being on his trip.  Only 4 more days until he’s back!  It’s really weird for me because I’m the one always going on trips so for me to go to Poland it’s not a huge deal since I’m with family and constantly doing something that the time flies by.  Whereas now, I’m home with the two puppers and it’s weird.  It’s quiet.  If you’ve watched my #lifewithjoe updates on my Instagram (his highlight is called Joseph) you can see how much fun it is when he’s around.  When he’s not here it’s quiet and lonely.  I know a lot of couple’s that love having distance apart and like to go away without one another, but that’s not the case for my fiance and I.  We are each other’s best friend’s.  We are there for each other at all times and it’s weird having to talk on the phone about my day, whereas if he was home we’d go out on our patio and talk.  He gives me the absolute best advice and ever since I actually started listening to him, life has been so much better.  He’s the one who reminded me of how I used to be when I didn’t care what people thought and I just marched to the beat of my own drum.  He’s the one who reminded me that I questioned everything instead of just doing something.

It feels like a part of me is just not here.  We are our own person, but when we are together we are a power couple.  We are partners in crime.  I know I can easily call him, but I know he’s having so much fun.  He went to this festival called Porc Fest.  He was asked to help run a booth and he was so excited about it that I told him, he needed to go, with or without me.  This is an experience I know he deserves.  He works hard every f***in day and never gets (or expects) anything in return.  He’s the first person that EVERYONE calls to help with something and half the time he gets screwed over one way or another, but he continues to help people.

I just miss him a lot and I know the pups miss him to.  This is hard for them because both of them love him so much and for the first two days they cried whenever they saw a car that looked like his, or whenever they heard a car pull into the parking lot.  They don’t seem as lively as they usually do.  I’ve been trying to get their minds off of him not being here by taking them on longer walks and loving them more than usual but you can still see they are not themselves.  I think the silence is what is throwing them off.
