“Red is the color of extremes. It’s the color of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger, and adventure. Our prehistoric ancestors saw red as the color of fire and blood-energy and primal life forces-and most of red’s symbolism today arises from its powerful associations in the past.” (source https://www.colormatters.com/the-meanings-of-colors/red)
It’s funny that this is what red stands for because everyone has always complimented that red is my color. I guess it makes sense, because I am very passionate about so many things. The sense of adventure scares me but at the same time it’s such a thrill. I never half ass anything, especially if I am passionate about what I’m doing. You see, when I get my heart set on something, I have to do it no matter how hard it is to get there. I’m not a quitter.
I know that in some cultures red is also seen as good luck, and I do believe red is a sign of power. It’s bold, and intimidating sometimes. The perception of the color red is so diverse. I feel as though it can mean so many different things to different people in different situations. It’s funny how that can happen. This happens every day in reality as well. What you say to one person, might be perceived differently by another whether it’s positive or negative.
Also, just to chat a little bit about my top, I did receive it as a review. I love the scallop detail! It’s a little open in the back which I thought was super cute. It’s a little on the thinner side so it’s definitely made for those summer months!

I think you look great in red! The top is lovely. I think you can tell something about someone by the colours they wear and decorate their homes in. Red is passionate – my dear nan used to wear red shoes as a younger woman – a bold statement back then! xx
