It’s time for the monthly Your Own Twist Linkup! If you’ve been following along with our (Shelbee On The Edge) monthly linkup you would have seen our Halloween and High Boots linkup from October and November. Today’s theme is our red dress theme. I chose to wear the above dress that I bought on sale from Banana Republic a few years ago. It’s made a few appearances here on the blog because I think it’s comfortable, and it’s also super cute. I’ve also been told multiple times that red is my color. I have been living in my leather jackets over the past few months (which I’m sure y’all have noticed from my posts) and I just had to pair it with this look. I feel like this would be a great edgy Christmas outfit.
How has everyone’s December been so far? It has been crazy busy for me, but being busy isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as long as you take a few moments out of your day to relax and destress. Yoga has been helping me to balance out my vibes and make sure that even though I’m busy, I’m finding time for myself as well. I feel like that’s what happens around the holidays, everyone gets so wrapped up (no pun intended lol) with gifts, cooking, trees, decorating, etc. and for all of it to be over within a month. I make sure to take the time that I use for yoga, as my good vibes time. I’m actually trying to get my mom to try yoga because I feel like it would be really good for her both mentally and physically. I think it would be better for her body than cardio because it really stretches everything out, and it is a less intense workout than if she was to go do Zumba for example. However, that’s just my personal opinion. I will also say, the red vest that my mom is wearing in today’s linkup was actually mine, but since I only wore a few times and I knew I wasn’t in love with it I gave it to her. Thank goodness that we are similar in size, although her legs are half the size of mine haha!
Make sure to check out our cohost below along with our featured bloggers from last month. Also, we will have a new schedule up in the New Year after our January 17th linkup. Stay tuned!

Today we have another guest bloggers! Ewa from 60 Plus Experience is joining us with the red dress theme, with a little bit of a twist. Why not wear a red long vest instead of a red dress if you don’t have a red dress!
Our Featured Bloggers from last month’s linkup are Chez Rama and Living on Cloud Nine. We loved their outfits!

Monica, red is your color. It is hard for me to get the right red dress. If I do I hold to it forever if I can :). But it is so natural for you. It goes with your skin tone and looks fabulous on you.
Thanks for the feature sweet friend. I am honored <3.

Aww, thank you so much! I’ve been told red is my color by so many people that I actually started wearing it more.

Monica, I absolutely love this red dress and red is definitely your color! I have also been told red is great on me. I think it is our dark hair that makes the red so great. So apparently, we both need to be wearing red more often! But it’s your shoes that I am really dying over! I have been wanting a pair of plaid pumps for so long, but I guess I would probably only wear them very occasionally so I never actively searched for a pair. But yours are magnificent and this is a fabulously edgy Christmas look!

Thanks girl! Yea, I feel so bad because I got these last year and I can’t link them because a few people have commented about them. I was hoping Old Navy would bring them back because they were a steal! I agree with everyone that you really do look great in red.
