The reason why the title of this post is 30 Days of Yoga Part 2, is because during my last 30 Days of Yoga, the instructor (Adriene, from Yoga with Adriene on Youtube) announced that she would be doing another 30 days of Yoga in the new year! I was so excited to do this, because I wanted to continue doing yoga, and I would’ve probably just restarted the 30 days that I just did. You can tell that Adriene loves Yoga and is passionate about teaching people so that you can find what feels good. She has some corny jokes that she throws in every once in a while, and a lot of them I know the reference, but if you’re much younger you might not get it haha.
I’ve split this review up just like I split up previous reviews. I wrote a 30 day Journal (although Adriene’s Day 1 was more of an introduction to the challenge) along with different pros and cons of the program, non scale victories, and yoga with dogs. My pitbull Zero LOVES to do Yoga with her mama. She does downward dog almost every day lol it’s really funny. Other days she will just lay on her mat and watch me, then come give me dog kisses when I’m in child’s pose.
30 DAYS OF YOGA JOURNAL
Day 1-5
UH MAY ZING! So much harder than the last 30 days of Yoga that I did. You can read that post here.
Day 6-12
I’ve been sticking to this every single day. I will say, that I do believe this 30 days of Yoga is a little harder than the first 30 days of yoga. There is a lot of strength training in this one, and because I have very little upper body strength, it’s really kicking my butt, but in a good way! On day 12, I decided to buy a new mat along with a block and strap. I know that I can get my flexibility up, but I need a little bit of help. I also DEFINITELY needed a new mat, because the one I have is basically crumbling to pieces. I keep finding pieces of my mat all over haha.
Day 13-19
I’m definitely getting stronger and more flexible than the last 30 days of Yoga. My one pup loves doing yoga with me. We now have to put her yoga mat (yes, she has her own now haha) down every single time and when we are done with yoga she never wants to get up.
Day 20-26
I am feeling great! This 30 days is flying by. I didn’t even realize that the program was more than halfway done. It’s just such an enjoyable workout. I have fallen in love with yoga like you do not believe! It’s helped me with my mental health (I’m much more carefree and less stressed over little things), and physically I feel great.
Day 27-30
This 30 days was even better than my last one! I LOVE YOGA! I have to put it off for a few days though because of the big move.
BEFORE AND AFTER
Non Scale Victories
I felt amazing.
I built so much strength.
I felt well rested.
I was able to relax.
Pros
I felt accomplished because I completed another 30 day challenge.
You can do it from your home.
It’s free.
Adriene isn’t just an instructor, you can tell she loves Yoga. It made me love Yoga.
Her cute pup, Benji, made an appearance, and if you know me, you know I LOVE dogs and animals.
Cons
I don’t have any cons. The only thing I could think of is, if you are a person who isn’t disciplined enough to work out from home and can only work out from a gym, then this won’t be for you.
YOGA WITH DOGS
I’m adding some more pictures of my pups doing Yoga with me, because they have gotten so into it! They love it! I’m so impressed with how good they have been. One of the days of the challenge there was a breathing exercise that Adriene actually said a lot of dogs get really into it and I must say, she was right haha! My pups came up to me and were licking my face making sure I was ok haha.
CONCLUSION
I love Yoga. I know that I’ve said on here before that I always wanted to love yoga and I could never get into it. I’m not sure if it’s because Yoga with Adriene is so convenient, and it’s free so since I’m on a budget it helps me out significantly. I find her very calming, and you can tell that she truly enjoys yoga and she’s not just another instructor. I’m hoping that Adriene creates another 30 days in the future, but for now I will be going through her Youtube for more yoga videos. I want to be able to work on my crow pose for sure! I highly recommend Yoga with Adriene. You will build strength and feel so good about yourself during the entire program.

That’s really awesome Monica! To find something you love. Isn’t it an amazing feeling just to get up and what to do something? That’s how I feel when I wake up and go to the gym. Not only that though but it’s also great for the mental and emotional strength that it also provides.

Yes! I’ve been testing out a few different work outs, but Yoga seems to be the number one so far.
