**Thank you King Athletic for sponsoring today’s post.
I have been severely slacking on my blog. This post was supposed to go live for my Monday Motivation Series post but I just didn’t have the time to post it. Ever since the deaths of both of my grandparents within the last few weeks, I just couldn’t write about anything motivational, and I haven’t even really gotten back into my workout regimen. I’ve tried a few times, but I really had to force myself. I decided that I have to get back into working out because it helped me feel better. Even though I really just want to mope around, I’m going to drive myself crazy with not doing any physical activity. I’ve also noticed that my body has been telling me it needs a good work out.
Which is why, today, I’d like to introduce a new athletic brand I’m reviewing today, called King Athletics. They focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle and how that is the main source of well being and happiness. I can definitely agree with what their focus is. Whenever I’m fueling my body properly and staying active, I always feel much better, physically and mentally. I have more energy, and just want to do better every single day.
Moving on to the products that I received, and the great uses that come out of them.
King Athletic Jump Rope
I was reading up on jumping rope and the benefits you get from it. You engage lots of muscle groups which leads to faster results with working out. I personally would do this as a warm up because of the cardio factor. Did you know that jumping rope can increase your heart rate 2-3 times more that offer the same aerobic building benefits similar to running. However, studies have shown that running may not be the best for your joints (especially knees) because of the impact. I don’t run, only because I do have a knee problem. Power walking is my thing, but I’m also from the northeast, so walking fast is just part of the lifestyle up there haha. Now, the quality of this jump rope is pretty good and the price is affordable.
King Athletic Resistance Bands
I’m a little weary of testing out resistance bands. I used these during physical therapy to help the muscles around my knee get stronger, and they do work. However, it honestly just brings me back to that time. I know it’s really bad to dwell on the past, but it’s a memory that I am not a huge fan of. However, there are a lot of really good workouts with resistance bands, and they are really awesome to use. Resistance bands are also great to mix up workouts.
King Athletic Massage Balls
Depending on how tight your muscles are, these may hurt a little bit in the beginning. I use them for my thighs, only because that’s usually the tightest muscles on my body. It not only makes for a great massage, but can also be a great way of warming up your muscles.
I hope this review helps you in choosing your next round of athletic equipment!
Now, let’s move on to the linkup.
*Please note, I received the items pictured above free of charge, however all opinions are my own.

You look amazing as always, my friend. Still thinking of you and keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Getting back to work is often the best distraction while trying to process grief. It’s funny because as I am still trying to help my son navigate his way through the grief process, he just got a fortune in a Chinese fortune cookie that said “The best cure for grief is movement.” I had to explain that to him but he understood it once I did. Now I don’t know that there is an actual “cure” for grief but the message makes sense.
By the way, I love that your pup wants to be part of your exercise routine!
